As restrictions have eased and bars have opened again, a lot of us are throwing ourselves headfirst back into our social lives - which can mean several late nights.

But while a night out with friends is always a good time, getting home is not always so enjoyable - particularly when you're a woman on her own.

A survey by YouGov in 2019 found 85 per cent of women have reported feeling 'unsafe' in taxis when travelling on their own, with many recalling stories of harassment and inappropriate behaviour by taxi drivers.

So one TikTok user is looking to make trips home safer for men and women who are feeling a little uncomfortable at hailing a cab on their own.

Watch the video below.

TikTokker @GymSkin deviated from his usual workout tips to provide some audio and a full script for those who are in the back of a taxi and are feeling nervous.

The video sees the iPhone Facetime noise play, and sees the fitness influencer act as if he's on the phone to you so your driver thinks someone is going to meet you.

"You alright," he begins, before a script appears telling the viewer to reply: "Yeah, I'm good."

"Yeah, whereabouts are you?" he then asks, and pauses, with the script saying: "I'm in a cab."

"Oh, you're in a cab yeah? Alright, whereabouts are you now?" he asks, and leaves a space for the viewer to answer their genuine whereabouts.

"Do me a favour, could you send me through your live location so I can see when you get here, because I'm going to wait in the car, got to go to the 24 hour shop," he says, giving you some time to reply.

"I'll be waiting in the car for when you get here, yeah? Alright, see you soon," before the fake call ends.

The video has prompts for you to answer, so the call seems genuine (

The video has since been watched 2.6 million times, with many praising the fitness influencer for being so thoughtful.

"Legend!" one person said. "Take a moment to appreciate what this man is trying to do."

A second said: "How thoughtful is that!" while a third said: "Respect bro, this could really help someone."
