Melania and Donald Trump embroiled in intense conversation during appearance at Freedom 250 Grand Prix
Donald and Melania Trump were spotted having what appeared to be a heated conversation during the Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington over the weekend.
The US President, 80, and First Lady, 56, watched on as the first-ever street race in the nation’s capital unfolded, taking place on a temporary 1.7-mile street circuit around the National Mall.
It was the latest of the events Trump planned to celebrate 250 years of American Independence, and so he and Melania were, of course, watching the race from a box.
That was after they took a ceremonial lap of the track in the presidential limousine, The Beast, before Trump’s new Air Force One completed a flyover, and a bald eagle was even released near the start line, swooping and flying before returning to its handler.

At one point, though, the cameras landed on the political couple, and according to lip reader Nicola Hickling, they seemed to be having quite an ‘intense’ chat.
Melania was leaning over to speak into her husband’s ear, before raising her hand in response to something he was saying.
The lip-reading expert who’s attempted to decode the conversation told Metro that Melania allegedly said: “That is private and valuable text,” to which Trump apparently responded: “Was it enough?”
The First Lady apparently replied: “I don’t know,” and the President added: “Then I need to see it.”
According to Hickling, Melania urged: “Donald, listen, I’m gonna go,” to which her husband said: “Listen, she asked you not to close the door”.
Melania allegedly responded: “Why?” and Trump reportedly replied: “It’s bad news, but it’s a bad timing, Melania.”
The First Lady then seemingly said: “That’s crazy,” before whispering something in the President’s ear.
“I’ve had enough of her,” he apparently responded, before Melania whispered again and concluded, “Obviously I’ll see and talk to her in the morning.”
Of course, none of this is confirmed; it’s just one expert's opinion, but it’s interesting nonetheless! Who knows what the cryptic conversation could have been about.
The couple were also joined at the event by Trump’s second-eldest son Eric, 42, and the President’s executive assistant, Natalie Harp, as reported by The Independent.
Other Trump allies and pals who were at the race included Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, UFC CEO Dana White and Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who is leaving her role at the end of the month.
The race ended after 146 laps, with the winner being crowned as American 27-year-old Kyle Kirkwood.
It follows a string of other America 250 events to celebrate the country’s big birthday, such as, notably, the UFC fight on the White House lawn back in June.
A whopping 4,300 people were present for the invite-only event, while another 85,000 were watching at a nearby fan zone, as per the BBC.
