This came after a press conference on Sunday where the FBI sent condolences to Gabby’s family as the body that had been found matched the description of the missing woman.

The body was found in the Wyoming area where a search with dogs is underway.

Fox News Digital reports that a coroner has arrived in the Bridger-Teton National Forest. An identity has not yet been confirmed.

At the conference, Charles Jones, supervisory senior resident agent for FBI, said that the remains were "consistent with the description" of Gabby but that a full forensic identification was pending.

Charles Jones also said: "First and foremost. on behalf of the FBI personnel, and our partners. I would like to extend heartfelt condolences to the family Joe and Tara, Petito".

"As every parent can imagine this is an incredibly difficult time for the family and friends our thoughts and prayers are with them. We ask that you all respect the privacy as they mourn the loss of their daughter."

There is no determined cause of death for the body found either.

Gabrielle 'Gabby' Petito, 22 - a famous social media influencer - was reported missing after not having spoken to her family since late August.

She had been living in the camper-van while travelling across the States with her boyfriend Brian Laundrie, 23, with their journey documented on social media.

But Laundrie returned home without her at the beginning of September, and her parents contacted the police 10 days later.

Subsequently, Laundrie is being treated as a person of interest in Gabby's disappearance.

"We are pleading with anyone, including Brian, to share information with us on her whereabouts in the past few weeks," said North Port police chief Todd Garrison.

"The lack of information from Brian is hindering this investigation. The answers will eventually come out."

Laundrie's lawyer, Steve Bertolino, said the suspicions against his client were unfounded.

"In my experience, intimate partners are often the first person law enforcement focuses their attention on in cases like this and the warning that 'any statement made will be used against you' is true, regardless of whether my client had anything to do with Ms Petito's disappearance," he said.

"As such, on the advice of counsel Mr Laundrie is not speaking on this matter".

The police also released bodycam footage of the pair near the entrance to Arches National Park, in Utah. in the hopes it would help the investigation.

The unsettling footage shows the YouTuber pulled over by police on 12th August. In the bodycam clip, the 22-year-old can be seen crying after telling officers her and boyfriend Brian Laundrie had been arguing.

Gabby and Laundrie begun their nationwide road trip in a white Ford Transit van back in July, sharing several popular videos where they appeared loved up, exploring, kissing and playing around together.

Their first video,"Beginning Our Van Life Journey", has now been viewed over 600,000 times.
