The death of Samantha Davis - the wife of Harry Potter star Warwick Davis - was sadly announced late last night (17 April).

Warwick, who also appeared in Star Wars alongside numerous other TV shows and films, shared a touching tribute to his 'favourite human' who passed away on 24 March.

And the pair's children, Annabelle and Harrison, have now also issued their own heartbreaking tribute to their late mum who died aged 53.

In a statement to the BBC yesterday, Warwick shared: "Her passing has left a huge hole in our lives as a family. I miss her hugs."

He called Samantha, or Sammy as he calls her, his 'most trusted confidant and an ardent supporter of everything I did in my career'.

Warwick, 54, continued: "She was a unique character, always seeing the sunny side of life she had a wicked sense of humour and always laughed at my bad jokes.

"With her by my side, I was sure I could achieve anything, it was like having a super-power.

"Without Sammy, there would have been no Tenable quiz show, no Willow series. No Idiot Abroad Series 3."

The pair tied the knot with back in 1991 and went on to have three children - a

daughter named Annabelle, 27, and a son called Harrison, 21.

However, their eldest son, Lloyd, tragically died at just nine days old back in 1990.

"Her love and happiness carried us through our whole lives," the siblings said. "Mum is our best friend and we're honoured to have received a love like hers."

Back in December 2012, Samantha and Warwick co-founded the charity Little People UK, which works to help people with dwarfism and their families.

The registered charity provides support and information to 'people of short stature and their families'.

"We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with dwarfism while celebrating with great pride, little people’s contribution to social diversity," the official website reads.

"She was passionate about helping people, without judgment. She had time for everyone and a genuine listening ear," Warwick added.

Sammy had achondroplasia, a bone growth disorder that causes disproportionate dwarfism.

Like her husband, she was also an actor best known for her roles in Through the Dragon's Eye, ShortFellas and Honky Sausages.

She even had an uncredited role alongside her husband back in 1988 in the fantasy-adventure flick, Willow.
