Flight attendant reveals what happens when passengers are caught having sex on plane

She said it happens on 'one in 20' flights

I'm sure many of us are well curious about the realities behind all the Mile High Club chatter.

Well, to shed some light on the mystery, one flight attendant has revealed exactly what happens when passengers are caught having sex on a plane.

Mandy Smith, the author of the number one best-selling women’s autobiography, Cabin Fever, has dished the dirt on what goes down in the loos when jetting across the skies, including one particularly wild anecdote that may leave you shocked.

Appearing on LADbible's Honesty Box series, Mandy was asked if she's ever actually caught any passengers trying to have sex during a flight.

"Well..." she began, "yes."

While admitting she's not yet seen anyone doing the deed in 'full nakedness', she did warn that cabin crew are able to remove the doors from the loos.

She explained: "You know, even though you've locked it, we can open them and we can take the whole door off."

Mandy has, however, had to stop people and knock on the door asking the Mile High Club fanatics: "Excuse me, can you come out?"

"It's worse when you've got children on board and it's in the daytime," she carried on. "But if it's on a night flight, and they're being discreet, I probably wouldn't even interrupt them if I'm honest."

The cabin crew member was then asked if the above happens 'often' to which she replied: "No, not really. I would say one in 20 or 30 flights. Not really that often."

She then recounted a story of one of her friend's who 'had a situation' when there was an 18-year-old woman who was 'quite determined' to join the Mile High Club.

"And she just grabbed anyone," Many continued. "I don't know how she met this chap, or how she discussed it or how they'd agreed to do it.

"But the cabin crew went and stopped her and then she sat back down in a seat and then, about half an hour later, she was back up with another chap, trying to join Mile High Club again."

Mandy's friend then had to have a word with the woman's parents - because she was actually travelling with both her mum and dad.

Now that's gutsy.

"Bless her, so yeah, she didn't do it again," Mandy finished up before joking: "We should have like condom dispensers."

People couldn't wait to share their reactions to the cabin crew member's wild story with one Facebook user writing: "Back when it was easy to join the Mile High Club they may have known what was happening but no one cared if you didn’t make a fuss. Overnight flight from SF to London piece of cake."

Another wondered: "How do 2x people fit in the smallest toilets ever made, let alone f*ck in there? I've tried but there's not enough space. Maybe I need to stop booking economy and start living large."
