Prior to her death, legendary psychic Baba Vanga made a rather unnerving prediction on the human race's propensity to trigger World War Three - and apparently, we're not far off.
That's right, according to the Bulgarian mystic, catastrophic global warfare is a very realistic probability for 2026, and that the Western world specifically should be bracing for impact at any given moment.
For those unfamiliar with Vanga, she was a blind Bulgarian prophet, who spent her life doling out terrifyingly accurate predictions about the future of our world - even if they weren't entirely positive.
Often nicknamed the 'Nostradamus of the Balkans' after the 16th century prophet, she is famed around the world for predicting incidents that changed the course of human history, including the death of Princess Diana, the 9/11 attacks, and a devastating drought in the UK.

As we say, however, the supposed seer also used her highly-specific skill to predict events that would take place long after her death - including WWIII.
According to WION, whilst speaking to her believers, she foresaw a significant shift in global power dynamics for the 12 months ahead, as well as some form of environmental catastrophe, and a detrimental advance in AI technology.
The combination of these things, Vanga claimed, could see the human race wiped out for good.
This could allegedly kickstart with serious international tension, which she believed saw significant global powers drawn in for some heated conversations. These discussions could, in turn, trigger a huge period of political instability between former allies.
When it came to provide specifics, Vanga reportedly alluded to the potential takeover of Taiwan by China, and a considerable blow-out between the United States of America and Russia.
It may well be that she was referring to Donald Trump's ceaseless threats over the takeover of Greenland, which would break his alliance with NATO in a major way - or possibly Putin's unflinching invasion of Ukraine.
A huge percentage of this continental beef will apparently be based upon a third financial crash that won't be limited to a single nation, but the wider world, and could result in market crashes, the soaring of inflation and a potential collapse in currency.
These tensions, she added, would likely also be further exacerbated by environmental issues, including mass flooding across the UK, and tornadoes, tsunamis and earthquakes hitting areas of Asia and the Americas.
More specifically, Vanga told her followers that a blend of seismic activity, volcanic eruptions and extreme weather would likely affect as much as eight per cent of the planet Earth's surface, which will only turn desperate nations against one another.
She also predicted artificial intelligence playing a major part in a potential World War, explaining that, whilst AI will transform humanity this year, it mightn't be the 'glow up' we hope it'll be - and could actually see human morality take a huge step down.
