With just two and a half months left in 2025, astrological believers and prophecy seekers are reportedly looking to the future, with a number questioning what the following year will bring them.
Whilst some are referring to tarot cards or palm readings for revelations regarding what 2026 has in store, others are turning to Baba Vanga for insights into what's to come.
For those unfamiliar with this mystic mistress, Vanga was a Bulgarian prophet who spent her life doling out terrifyingly accurate predictions on what the fate of humanity would look like, despite having been blind since birth.
Many of these prophesies concerned events way in the future, and yet, since her death, countless have proven true. So much so that during Soviet rule, political leaders often sought her counsel on worldly wars.

More recently, Vanga rightly estimated that some of the world's largest cities would be hit by large-scale droughts and water shortages by the time this decade rolled around, and in 2022, Britain suffered its driest July since 1935.
On top of this, she even foresaw the 9/11 terrorist attack back in 1989 - so, it's fair to say her credentials are pretty legit if you are into mysticism.
As such, many future-fanatics have already begun deep-diving into what she has predicted for the year 2026. By the sounds of things, however, it's going to be a rough year.
Arguably, her only positive for the upcoming year is that 2026 will see humanity contacted by some kind of extraterrestrial life.

According to Sky History, this is most likely to occur in the form of a large craft approaching Earth from space, supposedly in November.
A recurring theme for Vanga is predicting the likes of colossal earthquakes, catastrophic volcanic eruptions, and even extreme weather. The combination of all three will reportedly impact as much as 8 per cent of the planet's entire land mass.
The main issue with such predictions, however, is that Vanga refused to specify where exactly these disasters could occur.
Another 'favourite' of the mystics is Vanga's prediction that 2026 will see international political disputes escalate to a whole new level. More specifically, whilst conjuring her prophecy on this matter, she is said to have leaned towards a rhetoric of World War III.

Whilst not ideal, it doesn't sound as though she's referring to nuclear warfare as of yet, having previously predicted the end of the world occurring in several centuries.
Whilst artificial intelligence was far from the horizon during Vanga's lifetime, she seemed to allude to science experts realising in 2026 that they'd gone 'too far' in one of their latest advancements - especially in terms of ethics.

And given that A and I are the two letters on every tech boss's lips right now, it could very well hinge on this sector specifically.
Anyone who looked back at Vanga's 2025 predictions knows she was totally honed in on financial discrepancies.
It's hardly surprising, therefore, that she estimated that these global economic issues wouldn't be a short-term stint and might very well spill over into the following year.

Apparently, it's not just extraterrestrial contact that we should expect from 2026, but further exploration of the planet Venus.
According to Vanga, humans will turn their attention to the 'Morning Star', as she's often nicknamed, in a bid to harvest some extra energy for us living here on Earth.
Before her death, Vanga convinced her followers that, by the year 2046, doctors and nurses would be relying on synthetic organs in a bid to save the lives of their patients in emergency scenarios.
That sounds like a pretty big leap; however, some historians have questioned whether we might start making headway on this slightly earlier - in 2026, perhaps?
