A psychic who made a number of alarming predictions for the year ahead has already been proven right, just eight days in.
Jill M Jackson, a spiritual leader and published author, has made it her life's work to warn residents of Earth about the advances that humans will make in the coming years, along with the horrors we'll face.
As supposed mystics go, the Mississippi author has a pretty decent track record when it comes to accuracy.
Early last year, for example, she was bang on to predict a major 7.6 magnitude earthquake that would strike Japan's Aomori Prefecture, which occurred on 8 December, inflicting widespread injury and building damage.

When it comes to what Jackson believes is in store this year, she advised Americans to prepare for both considerable instability in the US economy and nationwide job loss.

With regards to ongoing world wars, she believes the Russian invasion of Ukraine would continue for several more years before a resolution is reached, but that the conflict in Venezuela would likely 'fizzle out' in the coming weeks.
As we say, however, one of Jackson's most detailed prophesies for 2026 has already unfolded in the form of a large series of earthquakes that have rattled the globe over the last week - especially along the West Coast of America and in areas of Asia.
For those who missed it, citizens living in these regions were warned recently about 'major water events' that could take place throughout January, triggered by earthquakes and inflicting major flooding.
According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), 100 earthquakes measuring at a magnitude of more than 4.5 have been recorded around the world in the last eight days alone.

10 of these reached a 5.0 magnitude, striking areas of the Pacific Rim between Monday (5 Jan) and Wednesday and inflicted damage onto homes and businesses in Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia and Russia. The worst - a 6.4 magnitude earthquake - hit the Philippines on Tuesday.
Ahead of this week's disasters, Jackson had seemingly sensed that her fellow Americans might be affected, taking to social media to warn residents of California, Oregon and Washington to approach the coast with caution.
"There's a lot of changes coming," she estimated last year. "There's a lot of earth changes coming. I see land shifting...
"And it's important for us to be in a place of preparation. Pay attention to water and things like that."
It wasn't until last Thursday, however, that Jackson was proven right, after a 6.5 quake rocked southern Mexico, having an impact as far along as Mexico City, forcing hundreds of residents to evacuate.
