Andy Burnham has responded after a bride-to-be shared a desperate plea for him not to ruin her wedding.

The new prime minister confirmed plans to spend at least one day a week at ‘No 10 North’, a new headquarters in Heron House, where the Manchester Registry Office is also based. Other cabinet ministers are also expected to work there regularly.

The new base was officially opened by the PM when he made his first visit on Friday (24 July).

But TikToker Sarah Burwin is planning to tie the knot at the same location next month and she's worried that the new office may change her plans. In the clip, which has gone viral and amassed over one million views, Burwin said that the heavy security presence outside could ‘ruin the vibe’.

In the video, which has the caption, ‘Andy Burnham please don’t ruin my wedding’ she said: “I saw you set up your new gaff, Number 10 North, at Heron House. I saw it on the news, gorgeous, love what you've done with the place.

"But I'm actually getting married there on the 21st of August and on the news today, the place was surrounded with police, bollards, all sorts. A lot of stuff that wasn't there before.”

There have already been a number of bridal parties spotted making their way into the building on Lloyd Street, as the heavy police presence stood nearby.

"My trouble is, I was planning to get nice photos like after, the registry office, outside, and I'm just a bit worried that all of this is kind of ruining the vibe.

So I would really appreciate it if you were maybe not there that day. I mean, you're welcome, you're invited. But maybe without the escorts, the police escorts. The guys with the rifles and s**t, because I've got a content creator coming.

"So I don't really know what we're gonna do if it's surrounded by the military and police, you know. Just something to think on. No pressure. But if you could, you know, give them an hour off. I am just a little bit concerned about that, if you could let me know."

Burnham responded to her social media plea with a very brief comment, saying: “Noted Saz.”

Speaking to the BBC after the PM shared the comment, Burwin, 34 and from Manchester, said: “I laughed out loud, the fact he called me Saz as well. We're basically mates now!

"I posted it mainly as a bit of light-hearted fun after seeing the news coverage of No 10 North and the chaos outside.

"I was really worried honestly because the place was surrounded by police, bollards and crowds of people. I worried how we would even get in!"

"It was just a silly video I posted to my small following, I had no idea it would reach one million views and the actual prime minister."
