A TikToker has claimed her ‘whole life is a lie’ after discovering a game-changing dishwasher hack.

This 'secret' feature in your dishwasher could be the answer to all of your prayers, though the creator's video has left some people divided.

See what you make of it:

TikToker @hotdogsilly took to the app to share the so-called hack with her followers, after discovering a video of someone popping a stemmed wine glass into the top drawer of the appliance.

The video starts with someone attempting to put the wine glasses in the top shelf of their dishwasher, only to realise that they don’t fit and they might just have to settle for hand washing them.

But oh no, the solution is at their fingertips.

With two clicks of a lever, the top shelf significantly drops, enough room for the wine glass stems to fit in the washer, and all is good in the world!

The levers are located on each side of the shelf, one on the left and one on the right.

It seems as though by simply pushing them in, it generates a whole lot of space for those annoyingly tall items that just never seem to fit.

The TikToker reacting to the video of course has to go and investigate her own dishwasher to see if it has the levers, and more importantly, if they do the genius thing.

And alas, they did!

Blown away, she shared the clip to the video-posting platform, saving thousands from trying to cram in more kitchen items.

However, not everyone was so happy.

Have you tried this?

That's because according to some comments, it might not be a feature on everyone's dishwasher.

But one guy had a sensible solution to that problem: “My dishwasher doesn’t have this so I have ordered a new kitchen.”

Another person found the clip helpful, saying: “Ok so this one video proves that the 1000 hours I have spent here was actually all worth it.”

Meanwhile, one person pointed out there is still some ambiguity surrounding the extra-room-feature: “I just tried it and it worked but I don’t know how to get it back up there lol.”

And she wasn’t the only one: “I did it but how to fix it now, HELP," wrote someone else.

Another added: “Can anyone tell me how to get it back up please?”
