The Lion's Gate period actually runs from late-July to mid-August, with this year's dates being 28 July and closing on 12 August, but comes to a peak today on 8/8.
According to astrologers, a portal opens when the sun in Leo aligns with the star Sirius, Orion’s Belt and Earth, as seen from Egypt.
It happens with Sirius 'rises', and it is the brightest star in the sky, and was extremely important to Ancient Egyptians, referring to it as the goddess Sopdet.
Sirius is regarded as bringing wealth, abundance, fortune and fame, making it an excellent day to manifest those desires.
