We're a nation of Greggs sausage roll lovers - so the introduction of a brand new flavour is sure to ruffle feathers.
You can get all sorts of sausage rolls on high street supermarket shelves, from fancier ones with pickle and apple, to bog standard frozen party-size rolls.
Some might argue why mess with perfection, as according to the BBC the humble sausage roll is still the bakery chain's top selling item.
In fact, in 2023 the London Economic reported that Greggs sells a whopping 130 million sausage rolls every year, while Metro claims it's now more than a million a day in 2026.

The brand has announced a brand new flavour to complete their 'iconic trilogy' of pastry-based offerings, with the traditional sausage roll joined by the vegan roll which was introduced back in 2019 - which caused a lot of debate at the time but was also wildly popular.

The new flavour is one you probably won't have guessed.... it's chicken.
Besides the vegan option, the usual assumption is that sausage rolls contain pork, but Greggs has pulled a wildcard with the latest addition to the shelves.
Fans initially thought the new creation was an April Fool's Day prank, but it turns out it's a real thing and it's coming to a Greggs near you soon.
It's been described as 'seasoned chicken wrapped in layers of crisp, golden, glazed puff pastry’, and will appear in stores from Thursday, April 9 and will set you back £1.35.
Each roll contains 305 calories, compared to 348 for the traditional pork sausage roll.
A Greggs spokeswoman said: "They say the best things come in threes, and our iconic roll trilogy is no exception."
She added: "We can’t wait for our customers to experience the Chicken Roll as the ultimate headline act of our flaky franchise.
Reaction to the news has been mixed.
"A sausage roll is not a sausage roll without sausage!" insisted one X commenter.
"Wake up. New Greggs sausage roll just dropped," joked another.
"Omg Greggs have finally listened to me and made a chicken sausage roll!" wrote one happy customer, while this person insisted: "The new Greggs chicken roll isn't getting anywhere near the attention it deserves."
Another called it 'disgusting' while one celebrated: "Greggs launching a chicken roll for people that don’t eat pork omg my prayers have been answered!"
Whether or not you'll manage to get a hot one remains to be seen though.
