Mum Reveal She Cures 'Unbearable' Migraines With £1 Peg Hack
American mum, Elizabeth Hayes, has revealed she cured a horrendous migraine in 20 minutes - with nothing more than a strategically-placed plastic food bag clip.
The Indiana-based Facebook user had been suffering from a severe migraine headache for 12 hours and explained the pain had become 'unbearable'.
But, in a Facebook post she revealed the unusual trick that eased the pain almost instantly.
The post said: "This chip clip saved my life tonight. I had a migraine start almost twelve hours ago and about an hour ago it was at an unbearable limit.
"I had exhausted all of my drugs and tricks I usually use to ease my migraines to no avail."
A Google search revealed an acupressure-based cure called Aculief - which uses a simple plastic clip to pinch the nerves between the thumb and forefinger.
She explained: "I glanced at the counter and saw this chip clip and decided it would do about the same thing.
"Within one minute I had some relief, and within twenty my pain was reduced by half!!"
She then went on to order the real thing.
She continued: "Just wanted to share this with everyone, as I know many of you suffer from migraines also."

It's thought that 190,000 people in the UK suffer from migraines every day.
And sufferers have reacted to the post, which went up about a week ago, in their droves with a whopping 75K reactions, 279K shares and 216K comments at the time of writing.
One user commented: "I was aware of this being a pressure point for the relief of headaches, so what a brilliant little gadget. The simple solutions are so often the best"
While another said: "need this! I'm going to try it next time !"
Elizabeth spoke exclusively to Pretty52 to explain how she came up with the idea: "I have tried to pinch that spot before for a few minutes when I've had migraines, but I never got any real relief. Then it hit me that when my acupuncturist does it he does it for a minimum of 20 minutes. So I needed to find something to hold pressure on that point for that amount of time.
"I happened to glance down at my kitchen counter and saw a chip clip. I figured that might do the trick - and it definitely did."
"I have used [Aculief] many times over the last week when I feel a headache or migraine coming on and sometimes it gives relief within a few minutes and sometimes it just reduces the pain."
According to Migraine.com acupressure points, such as this one, may help in relieving headaches.
The website states: "Some researchers and doctors believe migraines are relieved because the acupressure improves circulation, relieves stress, reduces tension and possibly releases the body's natural pain killers called endorphins."
The Aculief clip can be bought via Victoriahealth.com for just £19.95 (or, like Elizabeth, try grabbing a peg from your washing line or kitchen cupboard in the meantime).
