In our opinion, the perfect way to stuff your face while still feeling elegant is through feasting on cheese and wine. The perfect balance of indulgence and class.

But the one thing that would make treating yourself to a stilton and red even better? Getting paid for it, of course!

Cartwright & Butler are searching for a festive wine and cheese reviewer where you'll be asked to try out a selection of wines and cheeses, as well as biscuits and crackers (what else are you gonna slather your brie on?!).

After trying each product, you'll have to provide feedback on the entire experience - from taste to packaging.

You'll be paid £500 for the position and the working hours are flexible.

Over on their site, they do ask that their cheese and wine tester has "a finely tuned Christmas palette with a love for all Christmas flavours" and the ideal candidate must have "bundles of Christmas spirit and enthusiasm".

On the Instagram post announcing the job opening, people were (unsurprisingly) very keen on the opportunity.

An overwhelmed cheese and wine lover commented on the post: "Oh my God! This would be my dream job"

"I have found my calling!!!" exclaimed another person interested in gorging the after-dinner delicacy.

While we wouldn't go this far, we did admire one person's enthusiasm who said: "I will pay you!"

But don't worry if you've never professionally reviewed food before; previous experience isn’t required, but they do ask that you have "a passion for all things Christmas cheese, crackers, and wine".

They say that "if you brie-lieve you're the one" (we'll let this cheesy pun slide just this once), then to please send in your application for the chance to earn hundreds just by trying out a creamy gouda.

So do you think you have what it takes? Know what makes a delicious edam and a divine merlot? Then to apply for the role, just send your CV and a short description of why you’d be the perfect candidate to the email address: [email protected]

Wishing you the best of luck and fingers crossed you get to be a cheddar connoisseur!
