Virgin Island has finally come to an end and, it's safe to say, it's one of the most talked about shows Channel 4 has put out in a long time.
On the off-chance you're unfamiliar with the concept, the six-part reality TV programme follows 12 adults aged between 22 and 30 who haven't had sex yet as they head to a luxury resort in Croatia to work with experts and therapists on overcoming their barriers around intimacy.
Now, the goal of the retreat wasn't necessarily to do the deed - much to one contestant's very apparent disappointment - but instead to teach the group a little more about themselves when it comes to the sex and relationships department, and learn a number of lessons about how to actually knock boots, covering important topics like desire, self-pleasure and consent.
Only one Virgin Island contestant of the group, named Dave, actually went all the way with their surrogate partner, Kat Slade, and he's since spoken out about finally having sex with her after making a surprising admission about his new girlfriend.
For those Channel 4 viewers who haven't yet sank their teeth into the final episode, we witnessed 24-year-old Dave enjoying his final therapy session with Kat, during which the pair got hot and heavy under the sheets.
Viewers could hear the pair breathing and groaning, with their rumble eventually coming to a rather audible climax.
"I feel good about being the person with him at that important moment," Kat later admitted during a confessional.
Dave added: "I am proud I can finally say I am not a virgin anymore.
Virgin Island's Dave was a fan-favourite amongst Channel 4 viewers watching at home (Channel 4) "I have a lot of catching up to do but I feel like I am on the board now. Now I can go and properly progress with some idea of what I am doing."
He continued: "The fact I am no longer a virgin is great, it's such a relief."
Despite the very divided opinions on social media surrounding the situ, it would appear as if being on Virgin Island has helped Dave out in the relationship department.
Six months after filming wrapped, it's emerged that he now has a girlfriend, after gaining the self-esteem to join a dating app.
Dave was the only Virgin Island contestant to lose his virginity at the retreat (Channel 4) "I never would have been able to talk to her without this show," Dave revealed, per MailOnline.
"But I don't think my girlfriend will watch, for obvious reasons. She watched the first four episodes, but it's getting a bit much now. You don't want to see your partner with someone else, even if it was a year ago."
He added: "She's openly said it's like watching a completely different person."
