Even his new bride caught the 'ick' from him

A brand-new couple have entered the chaotic Married At First Sight UK experiment, and the groom has already received quite the unanimous reaction from viewers at home.

Last night (3 October), we saw the likes of 30-year-old prison education manager Luke Debono enter the Channel 4 show looking to find love.

Dubbed a 'traditional gentleman', the latest MAFS UK contestant opened up about how he hope the experience will help him become more 'vulnerable'.

However, Luke admitted that he's not always been on his best behaviour when it comes to his love life, revealing: "The worst thing I've done in a relationship is cheat on my partner."

Regardless, he still maintains his best qualities are being 'kind' and a 'good listener'.

In his introduction, Luke also shared a very X-rated anecdote from his past which has seemingly given viewers the 'ick'.

"The most embarrassing thing I've done in the bedroom is I've offered an unsolicited and unwanted butt plug, which quickly made its way back into the box," he said.

He went on to describe his perfect date as being 'huddled at my place in front of a fire pit doing marshmallows and then other stuff'.

Luke added: "I would make the perfect husband because I'm funny, I like to get jiggy with it, and I can have deep conversations."

After meeting the newest groom, it's clear fans of the hit reality TV programme aren't totally vibing with him straight off the bat.

One X user penned: "Luke is giving me the ick like Aldo from Spy."

"Just NO I can’t believe he just said that massive massive ICK . I’d be off straight away. Bye hun," hit out a second.

And a third chimed in: "I feel like underneath Luke’s bravado he’s got potential and good values, just cool it down with the flattery so soon, the ick is hard to come back from."

Luke has been paired up with northern wedding planner, Amy Kenyon, but things don't seem to be off to a good start after she also confessed that he gave her the 'ick'.

During a photo shoot, Luke kissed his new bride on the hand and said: "Hello baby."

The gesture clearly didn't go down well with the bride after she told the cameras: "It's giving me the ick a little bit."

Well, I guess we'll simply have to wait and see what's in store for the new couple.

Married at First Sight UK airs every Monday to Thursday at 9.00pm on E4.
