MAFS UK viewers make one request after groom’s ‘disgraceful’ behaviour towards new wife

Viewers of Married at First Sight were almost left speechless following last night's episode (18 September).

The new season of the beloved reality show, in which two complete strangers meet at the altar, exchange vows and adjust to life as a married couple whilst getting to know each other, kicked off on the 16th September.

Despite being just three episodes deep, the drama has been coming at us thick and fast.

The dating experts, Paul C. Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas 'locked in' 34-year-old gardener Caspar Todd with Emma Bourne, 31, and the results have been difficult to watch.

The two had a wedding ceremony surrounded by family and friends - and they both said 'I do'.

With Emma thinking it was time to run off into the sunset, the two embarked on their honeymoon, during which Emma wore a bikini.

MAFS star Caspar then told the camera: "She's a very confident person in herself and her body, but first time seeing Emma in a bikini, I'm not feeling sexual sparks that I was hoping to feel. Liking a more petite woman generally is something I have always fancied more than curves. That's just my preference."

Later in the episode, Emma took the opportunity to ask Caspar: "Do you think I look sexy tonight?"

Caspar didn't respond, which led Emma to instead ask: "You don't think I'm sexy?"

After what felt like a million years, Caspar simply said: "No."

Things went from bad to worse in terms of Caspar's attitude.

Emma then posed: "So, you didn't fancy me and you don't fancy me - right?"

Caspar admitted: "Not currently, no, let's be honest."

Seething by this point, Emma said: "If you didn't think I was sexy in my f*****g wedding dress and my gorgeous bikini today, I don't know what hope there is.

Caspar has been receiving some blacklash on social media (E4)

"But what we're here to do is look beyond that and what you need to do is look beyond that because my personality, my confidence should help you be more confident and you should see qualities bigger than my clothes size.

"You need to work on your view of women."

Somebody give this woman an award of some kind.

The exchange has led people on social media to share a similar thought.

One person wrote on X: "Caspar, just go home and stop wasting Emma's time. She deserves so much better. Disgraceful behaviour."

Another added: "To be honest he's a t**t. He should pack his bag and go home."

Married at First Sight airs every Monday to Thursday at 9pm on E4.
