Margot Robbie had no idea her husband was in Harry Potter despite being obsessed

Ever since exciting news broke last night that Hollywood bombshell Margot Robbie and her husband Tom Ackerley are expecting their first child together, fans have been frantically Googling to find out all they can about the father-to-be.

And as a result, many have been left blown away to discover that the British producer actually has a pretty bizarre connection to the Harry Potter film franchise - something which actress Margot was also apparently unaware of during the first few months of their relationship.

For those who didn't know, the Wolf of Wall Street star considers herself a pretty major 'Potterhead', ceaselessly opening up about her obsession with the best-selling book series and follow-up films in press interviews.

In fact, prior to meeting her husband, she was such a Wizarding World fanatic that she once 'lied to the optometrist' just so she could be prescribed glasses just like that worn by 'the boy who lived' himself.

Despite often proving her unmatched knowledge about the niche details and hidden trinkets littered within each scene of the eight magical movies, the Australian actress admitted back in 2021 that she actually missed a pretty key moment when watching the series back with her hubby.

Margot met Tom on the set of war drama Suite Francaise back in 2013, upon which he worked behind the camera as an assistant director, before the pair went on to date and eventually tie the knot in 2016.

Anyway, as we were saying, Margot made another confession about her adoration of the Harry Potter franchise during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show three years ago, during which she confessed she previously had no idea that her husband Tom had actually starred in it.

"My husband is in the Harry Potter movies," the I, Tonya actress excitedly revealed on the show.

"I know, I was like, 'Had you told me sooner we would've been married very quickly'."

She continued: "But he was an extra when he was a little kid - he was one of the Slytherin extras when Draco pushes some kids out of the way to see Buckbeak in the third book. He pushes my husband out of the way."

And interestingly, it turns out that the incoming dad also bagged roles inThe Philosopher's Stone and The Chamber of Secrets movies in the years prior.

We have no doubt that this'll be news that the couple can't wait to tell their incoming addition as they grow up.

Tyla revealed the couple's latest news last night after - according to People - multiple sources said that Barbie is expecting a baby.

Naturally, fans were absolutely over the moon for the pair after catching wind of the announcement, with many taking to social media to jump in with their congratulations.

One person wrote: “That child being so lucky, imagine having Margot Robbie as your mother.”

And another commented: “She’s giving birth to Barbie 2. Congrats," as someone else wrote: “Omg she gon give birth to an angel because that face card never declines."
