Margot Robbie quietly makes major name change 10 years after marrying husband Tom Ackerley
Despite having one of the most recognisable names in Hollywood, Margot Robbie has officially changed her moniker, ten years after tying the knot with her husband, Tom Ackerley.
The Daily Mail was the first to report the news, citing new Companies House documents, which revealed that she's switched out her maiden name for her married one.
The documents reportedly named her as Margot Elise Ackerley, however, she doesn't have an Instagram account and hasn't had a social media presence since 2021, so it's unknown whether she's professionally changed her name too or plans to use it for future projects.
The power couple, who own their own production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, tied the knot a decade ago, in a private 2016 wedding ceremony in Byron Bay.

Robbie, 36, met her now-husband, also 36, on the set of the 2014 romantic war drama Suite Française, a film that Ackerley served as third assistant director for.
Although they were just pals at the time, Robbie admitted to Vogue that she always had a crush on him.
Their relationship appears to have gone from strength to strength, and they welcomed a baby boy on October 17, 2024, but have chosen to keep his name private.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight last summer, she said: “It’s funny, you try to explain to someone who has kids, you don’t need to because they get it. And if they don’t, it’s probably just really boring to hear.”
The Australian actress is very private when it comes to her family life and relationship and has mostly kept it out of the spotlight.
However, she has issued some rare comments over the years, and in 2024 told E! News: "I am so lucky. He likes being behind the camera. He's not fazed by any of this stuff.
"He's just the best, it's so fun. I love the word 'normie,' yes, like all my friends, everyone's like, 'That's cool what you do but it's more fun just to hang out and talk about other stuff.' And you're like, 'I know.'"
While in 2016, she sweetly told Vogue Magazine: "The idea of relationships made me want to vomit. And then this crept up on me. We were friends for so long. I was always in love with him, but I thought, 'Oh, he would never love me back. Don't make it weird, Margot. Don't be stupid and tell him that you like him.'"
She gushed: "And then it happened, and I was like, Of course we’re together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.”
And as we say, their professional relationship is just as successful as their personal one, as their production company LuckyChap is behind some incredible movies, including Barbie, Saltburn, and I, Tonya.
It was co-founded by the couple, as well as Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerrback, in 2014.
As per Grazia, she previously told Porter: “I’m a great advocate of doing business with your partner. Being married is actually the most fun ever, life got way more fun somehow.”
