New Netflix thriller leaves viewers with questions despite being hailed ‘greatest show in a long time’

The six-part crime series dropped on the streamer earlier this month (8 January)

People are still raving over the brand-new star-studded thriller series that's just landed on Netflix.

The six-part crime drama, starring The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal and Creed star Tessa Thompson, hit the streaming platform earlier this month (8 January), and the hype doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon.

After rattling through the whole season in just a single sitting, many Netflix viewers rushed to social media to share their praise but, with it, their utter confusion over some of the show's 'unanswered questions' and 'plot holes' despite it being hailed as the 'greatest show in a long time'.

The series is, of course, His & Hers and you can check out the official trailer here, but beware, as major spoilers follow:

Now, we've already discussed the TV programme's full plotline along with its 'horrifying twist' in the final episode, but let's get into some of the other key talking points His & Hers fans have voiced on social media.

Taking to Reddit, one person questioned: "Why did they show Jack hit Rachel during one of his flashbacks to their sex scene in his truck after she said something like is that how Anna likes it?

"It shows him choking her, and she scratches his face, which should show an injury on his face, but he doesn’t have one? And when it shows the mom watching them the night she killed Rachel, it shows Rachel all normal and happy, exiting the truck and saying bye.

"If they just got in this physical fight, I don’t think she would’ve appeared all happy walking out of his truck?"

They continued: "And what kind of teenage girls pay men to rape another teenager and just watch, what do they get out of that? It shows Rachel getting paid, but is she not rich herself, why does she need the money? Also, these men are so despicable to do something like this, then what’s to stop them from not paying and raping all of them for free?

"And why is Lexi mad at Anna when Anna saved Lexi from getting raped at her own expense? And does she know her husband is sleeping with Anna? If yes, why is she ok with it and what were they planning on doing at the lake house?

"Why did Zoe tell Jack Anna isn’t who you think she is based on the 20yr old rape? If anything, that would be bad on her, not Anna? So many unanswered questions/plot holes."

A second explained: "Jack has a small scratch on his left cheek for the entire show. His partner specifically notices it. It was not a fight, just rough sex.

"The hired rapists make little sense. Agreed. Inviting boys to the 'party' to spice things up and things go wrong would have been more believable. Lexi is mad about Anna trying to take her job. The show tricks you into thinking Lexi is the killer, so the viewers misinterpret Lexi's motive for her behaviour.

"Zoe's comment to Jack is that he doesn't know the whole story about his wife, hinting at a dark secret. That is how I see it anyway."

A third then wondered: "Ok - so the mom gets naked after stabbing the first victim. They literally show her throwing her clothing down. Didn't the cops find it? She gets picked up by an ambulance and has ZERO blood on her after stabbing somebody 40x... come on. Same with the slitting of the throat - she gets picked up again. During the reading of the letter, they show the blood... so much of it!... Also, I am so sick of cop shows where the cops are totally f*cking ripped, and they literally never exercise."

"It was raining when she murdered Rachel, so the blood must have washed off, and perhaps she dumped her clothes somewhere else in the woods," a fourth answered. "Can't say about the other murders. There were too many loopholes anyway."

Another person then hit out: "How is it possible that it wasn’t common knowledge that Lexi was Catherine? She was a news anchor, on billboards, and broadcast in the town where she was from, and no one knew it was her? Nothing online would connect Catherine Alexis to Lexi? I’m genuinely confused why this wasn’t explained."

Someone else replied: "She had completely reinvented herself, looked totally different, and no one had reason to look for Catherine or draw a line between her and Lexy."

And a final Redditor pondered: "So Anna sends her location pin ONLY to Jack. All he says to Priya is that Anna is at the lake. After he knocks Priya out, he gets a HUGE head start to where Anna is.

"Priya then simultaneously shows up at the lake house as Jack, JUST at the right time? Wtf."

His & Hers is currently available to stream on Netflix.
