If you’re looking for a new ‘bingeworthy’ crime thriller to sink your teeth into, we’ve got you covered.

It hasn’t been long since fans raved about shows like Happy Valley and Blue Lights, and now they can’t stop talking about the return of a Scandi noir show which is both gritty yet emotionally charged.

The third season of this Norwegian favourite dropped this month.

The dark drama features English subtitles and 45 minute episodes for you to blast through on BBC iPlayer as you sit on the edge of your seat.

It follows the story of homicide detective, William Wisting and he struggles with the two toughest cases of his career.

When his serial killer investigation interlinks with his journalist daughter's news story, he realizes he now needs to protect her from the danger she is unwittingly in.

Fans who have followed the show, which first aired in 2019 couldn’t be more excited for the return of the detective series, based on the novels by former police detective Jørn Lier Horst.

You can watch the eerie trailer below:

Season three kicks off with a case with a similar feel to The Missing, with the detective faced with a missing British boy who has disappeared from his family’s hotel.

But there’s a twist, as one of the hotel employees is also found dead at the scene.

Sven Nordin navigates this gritty storyline through his character, William, as he uncovers secrets within the boy's family.

Starring hit talent alongside Nordin such as Carrie-Anne Moss and Rupert Evans, it’s no surprise viewers are loving the series.

Wisting is a BBC 4 show that is keeping fans on their toes with the plot’s shocking twists and they’re not keeping quiet about it.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, many fans raved about the season and how it made them feel.

One person wrote: “So what do we all think? I for one was gripped and enjoyed us all being together again!”

Another echoed: “Tak everyone. That was very good.”

Someone else thought it was ‘dark’ but enjoyed it nonetheless.

A user commented: “#Wisting @BBCiPlayer Series 3 - a Sunday Night binge-worthy watch.”

They’re not wrong. This is a totally bingeworthy watch!

Another was too busy being distracted from their studies: “Oh dear. I have just discovered a new distraction from my #PhD studies - #Wisting - it is awesome!”

All in all, it seems that viewers aren’t kidding about how great this show is and want everyone to get in on this action.
