Meghan Markle fans are all making the exact same important point after she faced major backlash over her latest Netflix show.

The eight-part Netflix series, which has already climbed to the 'No.4 in [UK] TV Programmes Today' slot, features a number of fellow famous faces including Mindy Kaling, Abigail Spencer, Delfina Blaquier, and Roy Choi - gives viewers a chance to 'join Meghan in the kitchen, garden - and even at the beehive'.

Now, despite the pretty wholesome premise of the programme, it's clear online trolls couldn't wait to call out the Duchess of Sussex over the programme titled With Love, Meghan following the years of online abuse the mum-of-two has had to endure ever since marrying her husband, Prince Harry, in 2018.

The pair eventually left the royal family in 2020 as they stepped down as senior royals.

The online trolling amped up even further following the release of the Sussex's first Netflix doc together, Harry & Meghan, which came out in 2022.

So, it was only inevitable such keyboard crusaders couldn't wait to tear into Meghan when her solo project was finally released.

However, fans of the former Suits star have been quick to rush to social media to defend her after the series sky-rocketed to into the Top 10 in a number of countries across the globe.

One X user penned: "Within 24 hours of its debut With Love, Meghan debuted top 10 in 46 countries Netflix top 10. Congratulations to Meghan, Archewell productions and the Netflix team."

"The TV critics might have given it, ahem, 'mixed' reviews - but the Duchess of Sussex’s series With Love, Meghan is currently rating at #6 in @NetflixUK’s most watched shows," praised a second.

A third gushed: "Honestly I was expecting Meghan to reach the Top10 in [British flag emoji] [Canadadian flag emoji] and other countries. But what makes me emotional is her reaching top10 in countries like Hungary, Kenya, the United Arab Emirates... because her reach is insane! I love this so much for her!

"I will never not laugh at the dumb polls the British media create, last one said no one was watching Meghan’s Netflix show #WithLoveMeghan, it’s only been hours & it’s top ten in UK," a fourth wrote. "These are not haters but Meghan’s biggest fans because make it make sense."

A fifth chimed in: "They thought negative press would stop people from watching her. These people do not understand just how popular this girl is. Imagine how many people, including racists would have watched her if press was favourable and this is only day one."

"Just about sick of all the hate on Meghan," echoed another. "Because she didn't give you what you wanted because you made her feel unwelcome, you have to criticise. Sad."

And a final X user added: "Anyways, Top 10 in 47 countries and counting #WithLoveMeghan. If Meghan listened to her haters she would be six feet under. Thank God she's happy, thriving and doing what she loves."

With Love, Meghan is currently available to stream on Netflix.
