Netflix is one the best places to go if you're looking for a cracking series to properly sink your teeth into.

From the 'vile' new horror Don't Move all the way through to the seriously harrowing Woman of the Hour - it's clear the streaming giant has had a load of recent additions which have gone down a storm with viewers.

However, with all the seemingly never-ending influx of banging programmes to race through, it seems like older series can often get swept under the radar completely.

One of the those throwback series had Netflix viewers claiming they were 'never the same' after watching the 'sensational' and 'seriously underrated' show.

The science-fiction thriller first hit our screens back in 2017 and went on for three seasons, until coming to a neat end in 2020.

The plot follows what ensues after two children go missing in a small German town as its sinful past soon becomes exposed.

Four families set out on a frantic hunt for answers as they begin to unravel a mind-bending mystery that spans three generations, stumbling upon supernatural phenomena that ties back to the same town from way back in 1986.

Throw in a heap of severely messed up relationships, double lives and a seriously intricate puzzle filled with twists and you've got yourself a pretty intense 26 episodes - a perfect amount to rattle through in a weekend.

The hyped TV series in question is none other than Dark and you can check out the official trailer here:

On a Reddit thread titled 'What is the best series you ever watched?', people rushed in to share their praise over the programme with one user writing: "DARK - it’s the most satisfying time travel TV show, everything is connected over multiple timelines and there will never be anything like it I don’t think.

"It’s on Netflix but most people I talk to haven’t seen it, it’s genuinely the best thing on there!"

A second agreed: "AMAZING show!! Doesn't go where you think it will go at all, each character is so complex, never the same after watching it."

"Certainly up there for one of my fave sci-fi series of all time," gushed another. "Sensational show."

And a final Reddit user declared: "Best time travel story ever told."

Don't just take Redditors word on it, though, as the series also has a pretty decent Rotten Tomatoes score of 83%.

Dark is currently available to stream on Netflix.
