Lady Gaga made huge motherhood hint before welcoming first child
In the months before welcoming her first child, Lady Gaga quietly dropped a major hint that motherhood was firmly on her mind.
The musician recently entered a brand new chapter with fiancé Michael Polansky, with the couple now settling into life as first-time parents.
Gaga, 40, and Polansky, 42, were photographed together over the weekend in Northern California, with the 'Just Dance' singer seen holding her warmly swaddled newborn to her chest.
For now, however, Gaga - real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta - and her entrepreneur beau are keeping their baby's world private.

The child's name, sex and exact date of birth have not been publicly revealed, and the couple have not shared a detailed personal announcement about their new family member.
That hasn't stopped the news from becoming a huge moment for Gaga's fans, however, particularly given how openly she had previously discussed her hopes for motherhood.
During an October 2025 appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Gaga was asked what she wanted to do next, having been in the middle of another huge professional chapter at the time following the release of Mayhem and her Mayhem Ball tour.
Her answer had nothing to do with another album, acting role or world tour.
"I would like to do many things," she confessed. "All of these things are open. But what I really want is to be a mom."
Gaga added: "That's my next starring role, I hope."
The new arrival marks a major milestone for the star, who has spoken publicly about wanting to become a mother on a number of other occasions, despite keeping much of her personal life away from the spotlight.
Back in 2020, she told InStyle that she was already looking forward to becoming a mother.
"I will say I am very excited to have kids," she admitted. "I look forward to being a mom."
During another section of the interview, the 'Born This Way' hitmaker also marvelled at the physical reality of pregnancy and parenthood.
"Isn’t it incredible what we can do?" she asked. "We can hold a human inside and grow it. Then it comes out, and it’s our job to keep it alive."
She went on to joke that she already had something of a maternal environment around her, thanks to the people who worked from her home.
"It’s so funny, everyone works out of my house every day," Gaga said. "When they come in, I always say, 'Welcome to the Womb!'"
In a previous interview with ELLE, Gaga revealed that she and Polansky had spoken about having children and were already thinking about how they would approach parenthood.
"That’s something Michael and I have talked about a lot, allowing our kids to be their own people," she recalled last year, adding that she hoped their children wouldn't feel pressured to follow a path chosen for them.
"I just kind of want to let my kids find out who they are," she said. "I would want my children to understand that whatever my artistry means to them is totally up to them."
