Joe Jonas filed for divorce from Sophie Turner in 2023, but until now has kept his feelings under wraps

It appears Joe Jonas has opened up about his troubled marriage and impending divorce from Sophie Turner in his new song.

The A-list couple were first romantically linked in 2016, and went on to become engaged in 2017.

They were initially married in a Las Vegas wedding in May 2019, before enjoying a more lavish ceremony in Paris, France, a month later.

The pair went on to have two daughters together and to fans, appeared to be the picture of happiness.

So, it was a huge shock in September 2023 when it emerged Joe had filed for divorce, stating that their marriage was 'irretrievably broken'.

Headlines came thick and fast for the estranged pair as it then came to light that they were embroiled in a messy custody battle.

Despite news of the breakup becoming public knowledge, the pair had largely kept their thoughts to themselves as they navigated their split, taking only to Instagram to share a statement that included they had 'mutually decided to amicably end [their] marriage'.

More details are coming to light lately.

Sophie opened up in an interview with Vogue about the end of her marriage and how she felt, especially about headlines that she was 'partying too much'.

She said: "I mean, those were the worst few days of my life."

Sophie continued: "I remember I was on set, I was contracted to be on set for another two weeks, so I couldn’t leave.

"My kids were in the States and I couldn’t get to them because I had to finish Joan [a series she was filming]. And all these articles started coming out.

"It hurt because I really do completely torture myself over every move I make as a mother – mum guilt is so real! I just kept having to say to myself, ‘None of this is true. You are a good mum and you’ve never been a partier'."

It seemed Joe was going to hold off on having his own say, but fans now think he's opening up about his own feelings in new lyrics.

Taking to TikTok, musician Joe shared a clip singing a snippet of new song he's working on which he captioned 'Even baddies get saddies'.

The lyrics include: "Come on, Joe, you got so much more to be grateful for / Stop being sad because you’re making the room uncomfortable / OK I get it /I know you’re feeling so miserable."

It then continues: "Sometimes I wish I had powers to be invisible / Even baddies get saddies and that’s the hardest truth / Called your mommy and daddy, they don’t know what to do."

One fan wrote: "JOSEPH!!!!! This is. This is gonna be a BOP. baddies to get saddies. let’s normalize all the emotions!"

Another added: "Wait this is so good."
