Timothée Chalamet has opened up on a chilling on-set moment he had with a background actor while filming Marty Supreme.
The American sports comedy-drama has been in cinemas for almost a month now - and it's already bagged leading man Chalamet a Golden Globe for Best Male Actor in a Musical or Comedy.
And fans love the movie so much that they think the Call Me By Your Name star, 30, could be well on his way to bagging an Oscar in March.

For those unfamiliar, Marty Supreme, which was directed by Josh Safdie, is set in the 1950s and follows young Marty Mauser, a fictionalised version of Marty Reisman, as he pursues his dream of becoming a champion table-tennis player.
The film boasts a star-studded cast featuring the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyler, The Creator and Odessa A'zion, as well as Robert Pattinson making an unexpected voice cameo appearance.

However, Chalamet claims he had a less than favourable experience with one of the background actors.

He recalled the moment he was 'threatened' while speaking at a Q&A session on Wednesday (14 January) alongside Robert Downey Jr at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles.
As per People, Chalamet said: "I won't say who, but in that motel sequence, there are a lot of non-actors… that I find it really thrilling to work with, but sometimes it would take multiple takes to really get something out of them."
He recalled: "And I'm really getting in the guy's face and I'm really trying to get him angry with me.
"I was saying to Josh [Safdie, the movie’s director], he’s not getting angry with me, he's not getting angry with me."
However, things took quite a turn when they filmed another take and then the guy reportedly said: "I was just in jail for 30 years. You really don't want to f**k with me. You don't want to see me angry."
Chalamet reacted: "I said to Josh, 'Holy s**t, who do you have me opposite, man?'"

This anecdote came just one day after Safdie revealed that Pattinson had a secret cameo in the movie.
Speaking at London’s BFI Southbank on Tuesday (13 January), the director explained, as per Variety, that the Twilight actor was actually the voice behind the unseen announcer of the British Open ping pong semifinals between Marty Mauser (Chalamet) and Hungarian champion Bela Kletzki (Géza Röhrig).

The filmmaker revealed: "No one knows this, but that voice - the commentator, the umpire - is Pattinson. It’s like a little easter egg. Nobody knows about that. … He came and watched some stuff and I was like, I don’t know any British people. So he’s the umpire."

Reacting on Twitter, one fan penned: "Honestly surprised no one caught this. Now that I know it's him you can really hear it lol."
While a second added: "I knew the voice was familiar but I couldn’t tell who."
