Taylor Lautner and wife Taylor Lautner welcome their first baby and share heartwarming name
The Taylors are officially expanding, as Tay and Taylor Lautner have become parents for the first time, having welcomed a baby girl last week.
The nurse, 29, formerly Taylor Dome, and Twilight actor, 34, announced the exciting news on Instagram on Wednesday (23 September) and revealed that their firstborn’s name includes a sweet nod to her parents.
While it’s not quite another Taylor Lautner, it’s not actually far off, as the little one will have her mum and dad’s first names as her middle name.
Lautner shared that their baby girl was born on 16 September and is called Lennon Taylor Lautner, nicknamed Lenny.

She wrote: “One week loving our sweet little Lenny. Lennon Taylor Lautner,” along with heart and bow emojis.
The couple also shared a first look at their new addition, who was wearing a baby grow and lying next to a piece of embroidered art with her name on.
Fans have taken to social media to react to the unique moniker, with one person writing: “Lennon Lautner is truly the coolest name.”
A second added: “Obsessed that you kept Taylor in the name, you HAD to,” while a third agreed: “The Taylor dynasty.”
A fourth chimed in with: “I love that you did actually put Taylor in there; it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.”
And a fifth quipped: “Imagine going out with friends and being introduced as the Taylor Lautners are here.”
While a sixth wrote: “Congrats!!!! Middle name has a great ring to it!!”
Tay and Taylor announced that they were expecting back in March - and everyone’s immediate reaction was, of course, that they had to name their baby Taylor too.
They revealed the pregnancy by posting a series of heartwarming snaps embracing one another in a field while holding up sonograms of their baby.
The duo hilariously captioned the joint post: "What’s better than two Taylor Lautners?"
The couple’s matching names have been an ongoing joke for some time now, ever since they tied the knot back in 2023 and both became Taylor Lautner.
Thankfully, though, they do have a plan in place to stop everything getting too confusing.
Shortly after getting married, they appeared on The Today Show to reveal how they get around having exactly the same name.
Co-host Sheinelle Jones questioned: "Your friends and family, they call you (the actor) Taylor, and they just call you (his wife) Tay?"
Tay explained that while it can be confusing, they try to make things easier for people, so she often goes by the shortened version of her name, Tay, and her hubby goes by Taylor.
They also go by 'girl Tay' and 'boy Tay,' to help eliminate any miscommunications.
She elaborated: “Yeah, we’ve kind of got boy Tay, girl Tay going on. And that is how they differentiate it. But now I’m always girl Tay, and he’s always boy Tay - even when we’re not together."
They went on to reveal the sex of their baby in June before hosting a stunning pink baby shower in August.
Tay penned: “Our little girl is already so loved. Thank you @jaclynhill for throwing the shower of my dreams! You have the biggest heart and will be the best auntie ever. Can’t wait to share more from such a precious day. Not long until we’ll be celebrating with you in our arms.”
