Shiloh Jolie managed to bag a role in a music video without letting it slip that she has very famous parents.

The 19-year-old is the daughter of acting legends Brad Pitt, 62, and Angelina Jolie, 50, but she obviously didn't want any 'nepo baby' accusations, and so has decided to make her own way.

While some people might use having celebrities as their mum and dad to their advantage career-wise, it looks like, surprisingly, Shiloh would rather keep them out of it altogether.

Fans recognised the teen as a background dancer in K-pop star Dayoung's 'What's a Girl to Do' music video, which dropped on Tuesday (7 April).

But it turns out that the singer's management team didn't know about her talented family history before hiring her for the role.

As per E! News, a Starship Entertainment representative told South Korean newspaper Maeil Business Newspaper Star Today on 3 April: "We held an open audition in the United States of America to cast performers for Dayoung's music video."

The rep explained: "Among those who took part were several performers affiliated with a dance crew called 'Culture'. Shiloh was selected in the final round and ended up joining Dayoung's music video.

"Even after filming, we had no idea she was the child of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and only found out by chance quite recently."

Yep, you read that right, even after filming the music video, they still had no idea of her famous heritage.

The publication reports that she got away with keeping her identity a secret by auditioning using her stage name, 'Shi,' which she's previously performed under.

She debuted her shortened name at the Isabel Marant and NET-A-PORTER sunset dinner in Los Angeles, where she choreographed a performance and was listed as 'Shi Joli' in the press release.

It comes after Shiloh legally dropped her father's surname and changed her moniker to Shiloh Jolie in August 2024.

Jolie and Pitt, who share six children, reached a divorce settlement in December 2024 following an eight-year-long legal battle.

As well as Shiloh, they share Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17.

It's been reported that Zahara and Vivienne also publicly dropped 'Pitt' from their last names, using only 'Jolie' in both professional and personal contexts, although it's unknown if their monikers have also been changed legally.

Reacting to Shiloh's latest music video appearance, fans penned in the YouTube comments: "Shiloh Jolie as her backup dancer???? damn" and "Not Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter being a backup dancer - not in my 2026 bingo cardddd."

While a third X user penned: "Shiloh has been training as a dancer for years under the name Shi Joli now finally getting her moment in a music video."
