Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Vivienne has reportedly dropped her famous father’s surname.
According to court documents accessed by PEOPLE, a California judge approved the 18-year-old’s petition without any objections on Monday (2 November).
The former Hollywood couple, who were affectionately known as ‘Brangelina’, are parents to six children - Maddox, 25, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 20, and the youngest, twins Knox and Vivienne, who are both 18.
However, after 12 years together, they split in 2016, when Jolie filed for divorce citing ‘irreconcilable differences’.

And now, after a name change petition hearing, Vivienne will go by ‘Vivienne Marcheline Jolie’ rather than ‘Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt’.
It comes after she petitioned to have ‘Pitt’ removed from her last name back in July, not long after her 18th birthday.

Asked to provide a reason at the time, the teen described it as a ‘personal’ choice.
Vivienne first debuted the idea of changing her moniker in May 2024, when she worked with her mother on Broadway’s The Outsider, producing it alongside her.
She was credited simply as ‘Vivienna Jolie’ in the Playbill.
The 18-year-old is also not the first of Jolie and Pitt’s children to make this change, as Zahara, Maddox and Shiloh have also legally removed Pitt from their surnames.
As per PEOPLE, Zahara’s hearing was in September, where she officially became ‘Zahara Marley Jolie’, again approved by a judge with no objections.
It came just days after Maddox’s name was officially changed from ‘Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt’ to ‘Maddox Chivan Jolie’, according to public court records.
Shiloh was the first, as she filed to drop Pitt’s name on her 18th birthday back in 2024 and has since gone by ‘Shiloh Nouvel Jolie’.

However, professionally, she’s gone by ‘Shi’ or ‘Shi Joli’ and earlier this year bagged a role as a background dancer in K-pop star Dayoung's ‘What's a Girl to Do’ music video, without revealing her true identity.
A Starship Entertainment representative told South Korean newspaper Maeil Business Newspaper Star Today: "Even after filming, we had no idea she was the child of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and only found out by chance quite recently."
She first debuted her shortened name at the Isabel Marant and NET-A-PORTER sunset dinner in Los Angeles, where she choreographed a performance and was listed as 'Shi Joli' in the press release.
It’s unknown whether Vivienne’s twin brother Knox has legally changed his surname too, but as reported by The Independent, he did publicly use the name ‘Knox Jolie’ for his high school graduation in June.
The family feud began a decade ago in 2016, following an incident on an airplane, in which the actor allegedly got into a heated argument with Jolie and their kids.
A detailed account of what allegedly happened was made public record during the pair’s divorce proceedings in 2022; however, following an FBI investigation into child abuse allegations after the incident, Pitt was cleared of all charges.
The LA County Department of Children and Family Services also concluded its investigation with no findings of abuse.
