Angelina Jolie makes emotional confession about daughter Shiloh in rare comment about her children

Angelina Jolie has made a rare admission about her children - particularly her 18-year-old daughter Shiloh.

Throughout their lives, photos of Jolie's six children - all of whom she shares with ex-husband Brad Pitt - were splashed across the front pages of global newspapers and magazines.

Maddox, now 23, was the couple's first child, adopted from Cambodia, followed closely by his little brother Pax, now 21, who was adopted from Vietnam, and their sister Zahara, now 19, adopted from Ethiopia.

Jolie and Pitt also welcomed three biological children during their course of their 12 year relationship - daughter Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.

Because of their famous parents, it wouldn't be a surprise to anyone if they decided to pursue a career in the movie industry - however, Jolie revealed that it doesn't seem likely.

Speaking at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Wednesday (5 Feb), the 49-year-old discussed her recent professional endeavours and motherhood.

She revealed that her children do not share her 'affinity' to fame - especially in the case of her middle daughter.

"No. I don’t know, that's not my doing," she began (via PEOPLE). "I always wanted them to be around film because I wanted them to know as a part of — it's such a wonderful family, to be creative, to be an artist, to be... They're not interested."

Jolie continued: "They really don't like any of the celebrity part of it, especially Shiloh hates it.

"I think in a very healthy way they don't," she added of fame. "It's not a normal thing. It's a silly thing really."

This isn't the first time that the Wanted star has emphasised her kids' disinterest in being in the spotlight.

Speaking on Good Morning America on 22 November, the A-lister explained: "None of my children want to be in front of the camera at this time.

"They're quite private. Shiloh's extremely private. They weren't born with privacy, right? So I hope they can have that as they grow."

Asked what does interest her brood, Jolie explained: "Some of them dance, some of them paint, some of them love theater, but none of them are dying to be on screen."

And during an appearance on Tonight With Jimmy Fallon a month prior (5 Dec), Jolie was asked the same question, explaining: "My kids - I think some of them off-camera, like behind the scenes.

"But they really, really want to be - especially Shiloh - would really like to be private. Just private, like, not photographed, not on the thing."

Discussing her daughter's wish, the star added: "Her, most of all, would like privacy."

And after the host pointed out, 'It must get tricky, with everyone being so famous', Jolie laughed before reminding him, 'But it wasn't their choice'.

"So, some people are more comfortable with the public, some people are most comfortable on talk-shows, and some people are not." she added.
