Sharon Osbourne has honoured Ozzy’s last wish after laying the Prince of Darkness to rest.

Ozzy, known for his controversial performances and heavy rock music with Black Sabbath, was a man who touched the hearts of many.

Particularly those in Birmingham, where he was born and grew up.

Having been diagnosed with Parkinson Disease and experiencing various health issues in the last two decades, Ozzy’s final gig in Birmingham was a touching goodbye from the band to the fans.

Little did those standing in the crowd know that this would be the last time they’d see the rock star.

Ozzy sadly passed away on 22 July at the age of 76, weeks after playing at Villa Park, Aston.

His death, which came as a shock to the public, was announced by his loved ones an emotional statement which confirmed he had passed while being 'surrounded by love'.

The statement read: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.

"He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time."

With the funeral having been held in Birmingham yesterday (30 July), it seemed like a full-circle moment that Ozzy had finally come home.

Thousands of Ozzy's fans also showed up, chanting and cheering for his legacy as his wife, children and family laid flowers in his name.

Now, Sharon has honoured his final wishes.

Having had time to think about how he’d like to go, Ozzy wrote in his autobiography I Am Ozzy, published in 2010: “Eventually death will come, like it comes to everyone.

“I've said to Sharon: ‘Don’t cremate me, whatever you do.’ I want to be put in the ground, in a nice garden somewhere, with a tree planted over my head.”

He specified ‘a crabapple tree, preferably’ so this his ‘kids can make wine out of me and get p***ed out of their heads’.

Ozzy jokingly added: “As for what they’ll put on my headstone, I ain't under any illusions. If I close my eyes, I can already see it. Ozzy Osbourne, born 1948. Died, whenever. He bit the head off a bat.”

And it seems Sharon and his family have done just that.

It was reported by the MailOnline that he is being buried in a freshly dug grave close to the lake on his 250-acre property close to Gerrards Cross.

The word ‘Ozzy’ was written on a bouquet of purple flowers behind the manor house, and three bunches of purple plants were placed close, reading: ‘OZZY F*****G OSBOURNE’.

Ozzy was never one to fuss over his own funeral, previously speaking in 2011 about how he imagined it, stating: “I honestly don't care what they play at my funeral - they can put on a medley of Justin Bieber, Susan Boyle and 'We Are The Diddymen' if it makes 'em happy.

“But I do want to make sure it's a celebration, not a mope-fest.”
