Ozzy Osbourne fans ‘broken’ after seeing distraught wife Sharon being helped by their kids at funeral

Fans of Ozzy Osbourne have been left heartbroken by the emotional images of his wife Sharon at his funeral and procession in Birmingham yesterday (30 July).

The Black Sabbath frontman, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019, tragically passed away last week at the age of 76.

And Sharon, 72, who was married to the music legend for more than four decades, was visibly distressed as she and her family joined fans in paying farewell to her husband.

She took time to take in the hundreds of floral tributes and balloons laid around the Black Sabbath bench alongside her and Ozzy’s children - their son Jack, 39, and daughters Aimee, 41, and Kelly, 40.

Sharon was being propped up by her children, who remained by her side throughout the whole event.

The former X-Factor judge and her children each carried a pink rose, wrapped in black paper tied with a purple ribbon, that they laid on top of the many other floral tributes that sat next to a poster of the star, which said ‘Birmingham will always love you.’

Another emotional moment saw Sharon kiss the flower she was holding before laying it down.

The harrowing images of the grieving TV star have left fans of the couple distraught, as they’ve taken to social media to express their condolences.

One X (formerly Twitter) user wrote: “Watching Ozzy's funeral procession and seeing Sharon not able to stand and walk on her own from the sadness gutted me.”

A second fan, who penned a lengthy message outlining their thoughts, admitted: “I just watched Ozzy Osbourne’s final journey through Birmingham and my heart honestly broke.

“Seeing Sharon so fragile at the Black Sabbath bench, standing in front of all the tributes, completely shattered it was so hard to watch.”

They observed: “She looked like a woman holding herself together by a thread, surrounded by so much love and yet completely lost without him.”

While another user added: “Sending massive amounts of love to Sharon Osbourne and their family today.

“Seeing Sharon break down and barely able to stand at Black Sabbath Bridge as she laid a single Pink Rose wrapped in black tissue paper onto the memorial bench, I am not okay.”

“The footage of Sharon Osbourne, and their children, crying and laying flowers for Ozzy has broken me,” wrote someone else.

Another fan added: “My heart goes out to Sharon, bless her. She is truly broken and lost without the love of her life. Not many of us get to experience such undying love, but she certainly did.”

While someone else replied: “She looked so frail and lost. I broke down and cried myself!!”

Ozzy grew up in Aston, Birmingham, in the UK, but in the late 70s he and Sharon moved to America, where they raised their three children.

The musician’s death came just weeks after he performed his last gig with Black Sabbath on July 5 in a concert at Villa Park - just a stone’s throw away from where the influential band was formed.
