A 2011 column by Orange Is the New Black star Ruby Rose has resurfaced, adding context to her recent allegation that Katy Perry sexually assaulted her during a night out in Melbourne more than 15 years ago.
She claimed on Threads that the 'Fireworks' singer had seen Rose 'resting' on someone's lap at a nightclub and then 'bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her'.
Victoria Police have confirmed they are investigating a historical allegation linked to the claims, and announced they were 'investigating a historical sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010'.
No charges have been laid.
A representative for Perry denied the allegation, calling it 'categorically false,' and 'dangerous, reckless lies'.

"Ms Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named."
Originally published by news.com.au, the piece describes a chaotic evening around 2010, with heavy drinking that ended in Rose vomiting on Perry.
At the time, she framed the incident as a turning point that led her to quit alcohol, writing that 'nothing horrific happened' beyond that moment.
"I spectacularly lost dignity (and keys) one night not too long ago," Rose wrote. "Remember when Katy and I crashed the Year 12 formal? I don’t.
"I had been off grog for 30 days - my first attempt at sobriety - and I was out partying with Katy."
She said she had planned to have 'one drink', adding: "What’s the worst that could happen?"
"Well, not stopping at one drink, or ten, and then vomiting on Katy’s foot was the answer."

"Before you jump to conclusions, nothing horrific happened, nor have I been hit with a DUI – but I just had enough, and it has been one of the best decisions of my life," she wrote.
The column has re-emerged days after Rose alleged that Perry assaulted her at Melbourne nightclub Spice Market.
She made the claim in a post responding to a post about Perry's reaction to Justin Bieber's Coachella set, writing: "Katy Perry sexually assaulted me… Who gives a s**t what she thinks."
Ruby Rose said she'd downplayed the incident in the past (Threads/@rubyrose) She later expanded on the allegation in a detailed social media post, saying the incident happened while she was trying to avoid Perry inside Spice Market.
Rose also claimed she has witnesses and photographic evidence from the night.
Addressing the gap between her earlier account and current claims, she said she downplayed the incident at the time because she 'didn’t know how else to handle it,' and feared it could affect a US visa Perry was helping her secure.
"I’m now 40. It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly," she wrote. "Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes.
"Thank you for seeing me."

On the night Rose alleges Perry assaulted her, the pair first crashed Melbourne High School's formal at the Grand Hyatt, with Perry singing along to her hit 'California Gurls', which had just been released.
June 2012
Rose is interviewed at the Australian premiere of Perry's concert documentary Katy Perry: Part of Me. She said: "I love Katy to bits and I was just with her at the hotel before.

Rose, a friend of Taylor Swift, hits out at Perry's song 'Swish Swish', which many saw as taking aim at the 'Bad Blood' singer.
Rose tweets: "Purposeful poop" to "bomb a petit" to a sloppy mess of writing over the top of Funkagenda..stop trying to make 'Wit..I mean "fetch" happen."
This references Perry's mission statement to make 'purposeful pop', puns on her song 'Bon Appetit', and claims 'Swish Swish' samples dance act Funkagenda. 'Wit' is a reference to Perry's album Witness, with 'fetch', of course, being a Mean Girls reference.
She added: "I've always stood up for the people I love and against things I think are cheap or mean spirited. That's not new."
Two days later, Rose added: "Being mean doesn't suit me and leaves me feeling dirty.
"Get so triggered when I think bullies don't get held accountable and it makes me think I should say something.. but it's not [my] place
"I have always believed strongly that Karma exists and the truth always surfaces however I'm not god and I can't decide when or how that is."
