Warning: This article contains discussion of sexual assault which some readers may find distressing.
Katy Perry's representative has denied the bombshell allegations that the singer sexually assaulted Ruby Rose nearly 20 years ago, calling them 'dangerous, reckless lies'.
The 40-year-old Orange Is the New Black actor made the graphic claims on Threads in response to a post by music publication Complex about Perry’s reaction to Justin Bieber’s headline performance at Coachella.
Rose commented: "Katy Perry sexual [sic] assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a s*** what she thinks."

In a statement shared with Variety, a rep for the 'California Gurls' singer said: "The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies.
“Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named."
Rose said that the alleged assault happened when she was in her early 20s.

Responding to a fan, she wrote on social media: “I’m now 40. It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly. Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes. Thank you for seeing me."
She also went into details of the reported incident, alleging: “She saw me ‘resting’ on my best friend's lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side, and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her.
"After it I threw up on her, I told the story publicly, but changed it to be a ‘funny little drunk story’ because I didn’t know how else to handle it. Later, she agreed to help me get my US visa. So I kept it a secret. But I DID tell y'all she wasn’t a good person."
She claimed Perry 'wrote and signed the letters of recommendation' for her US visa application in the 2010s.
And as per PEOPLE Magazine, Rose also wrote that 'as a woman, for a myriad of reasons, opening up about W on W [women-on-women] violence and sexual abuse, seems to be 100 times harder than speaking about the male predators, at least for me'.

The actress said she is 'not interested in filing a report over this,' explaining that 'you don’t need people to believe you, you just need to get it out of your poor body, before it gives you cancer'.
However, she later wrote she'd 'just left the police station' and would say more 'once I get my strength back'.
She added: "Perry is more than welcome to sue me (she won’t, because it happened, I have photos, and it was literally in public and witnessed by multiple people)."
Tyla has contacted representatives for both Perry and Rose for comment.
