A lip reader has given their take on what Leonardo DiCaprio said during his now-viral Golden Globes exchange

Minutes into Sunday's ceremony, and we watched on as host Nikki Glaser already cracked a Jeffrey Epstein joke, with fans later treated to a much-welcomed dose of Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner cuteness as well as some signature Snoop Dogg antics.

But, out of all the shenanigans that took place on Sunday (11 January), Leonardo DiCaprio took first place for the most viral Golden Globes moment.

A clip of the interaction showed the 51-year-old One Battle After Another star having a one-sided conversation with someone else in the grand Los Angeles ballroom.

And, let's just say, his facial expressions and hand gestures were extremely animated. Take a look:

After catching light of the viral clip, fans couldn't wait to run to social media and share their reactions as one Instagram user penned: "He just played like 4 different roles in 30 seconds!"

"The way he gets into different characters in a second," echoed a second.

"The facial expressions are insane! Such a great actor," beamed a third as a fourth chimed in: "Not Leo acting Sassy af."

Another confessed: "Legendary because I have no idea what he was saying, but I watched this 200 times."

Well, thankfully, deaf social media influencer Jackie G came in clutch to provide us with all the answers.

According to Jackie, who goes by the handle @tismejackieg online, DiCaprio said: "I was watching you with the K-pop thing. You were like, 'Is that, who is the K-Pop? Are they? Oh it is!'

"We were laughing, you were like 'Is that? Who is that? K-pop!'"

The Hollywood A-lister then laughed while clapping before being interrupted by a fan asking for an autograph.

"Sure, okay, I'll sign," he said.

Jackie also issued a 'disclaimer', writing: "Lipreading is not a reliable form of communication; all statements are alleged."

Speaking of DiCaprio, host Glaser also joked about the Romeo + Juliet star's dating history in her opening monologue.

"The most impressive thing is that you've been able to accomplish all of this [in your career] before your girlfriend turned 30," Glaser told the award-winning actor, adding: "It's just insane."

After clocking the jab, one X user penned: "Nikki Glaser calling out Leo DiCaprio’s girlfriends, god I love award season."

And a final X user agreed: "Nikki Glaser never disappoints at the #GoldenGlobes."
