Kim Kardashian's 12-year-old daughter North West has personally responded to the backlash to her controversial piercing.
It has been around two months since Kim Kardashian was slammed on social media for allowing her daughter to wear grillz, fake piercings and tattoos with her friends.
While that caught a lot of attention, what really rocked the boat was when people noticed North’s real-life piercing.
Kim, 45, was quick to respond to the comments, after people called the dermal piercing ‘high risk’ for the child.

Jewellery expert Nilesh Rakholia, who is the founder of the British jewellery brand Abelini, explained: "It’s constantly exposed to knocks, dirt and bacteria, making the risks of infection and complications far greater than with more traditional piercings."
The mother-of-four was in Italy at the time people saw the piercing, and things got real online.
At the time, the reality TV star posted a comment in response to a video shared by one user who shared a photo of North's piercing and asked: "What is going on #northwest #kardashians."

The social media critic had also wrote in the video: "North west getting a finger piercing is breaking my heart, just me?"
Kim simply wrote that 'it's okay', alongside two love-heart-hand emojis.
But now, North has issued her own statement.
On their shared account @kimandnorth, a new TikTok video has been uploaded, which North has used to respond to the hate.
The video is simply of the youngster with her hair tied up, lip syncing to a popular trending sound which says: “Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull it together.”
Written over the video is: “This is for everyone that’s mad over a finger piercing.”
So, it seems like she’s pretty set on calling people out who aren’t minding their own business.
However, North’s confident sense of style isn’t anything new, according to her mum.
The SKIMS founder appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast recently, and brought up North’s individual style.
"She's really mature in one sense where she'll be like, 'Mom, I saw this and I don't really care that they don't like... my blue hair or this or that'," Kim explained. "She's really confident."
She explained that she would like a little bit of ‘grace’ from people online when it comes to her parenting as she raises her four kids predominantly alone after her split from rapper Kanye West.
She continued: "I'm like, OK, we're never wearing that again. Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world. As a mom, you're kind of like learning at the same time."
Tyla has contacted Kim Kardashian's representatives for comment.
