With Kayla Nicole now having broken her silence following ex-beau Travis Kelce's recent engagement announcement, fans have been dying to know everything she's ever said about his romance with Taylor Swift.
For those out of the loop with the big-name news, Tay and Trav took to Instagram on Tuesday (26 August) to confirm that the NFL star had popped the all-important question after two years of dating.
Travis, 35, is understood to have gotten down on one knee in a private rose garden in Lee’s Summit - a suburb just outside Kansas City, Missouri - before presenting the Grammy-winner with an old mine brilliant-cut diamond in a gold bezel setting.
Sharing a photo 'dump' from the special moment, they captioned their joint social media announcement: "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."
How did Kayla Nicole respond to the engagement news?
Following a day of silence on the matter, on-air sports journalist Kayla Nicole - who just so happens to be Travis' former long-term flame - returned to Instagram to share a post.

The 33-year-old - who has remained single since her split from the sportsman - reposted a video originally posted by the account @offthecuff, showing actress Tracee Ellis Ross discussing the notion of 'joy'.
"I work at it. I think joy is different from happiness. I feel like happiness is something you can get at 7/11, and joy is something you earn and work for and takes practice," Black-ish actress Ross says in the clip.
"I feel lie joy has legs. I feel like joy has feet, I feel like joy has roots, I feel like creates space and allows for room for more than just a good day.
"I think joy is an attitude. I think joy is a perspective, and I think joy is a lens through which I live and look at my life."

Re-sharing the vid, Kayla penned the caption: "Read about this very concept years ago in a book called Choose Joy: Because Happiness Isn't Enough. I aspire! So so good."
What else has Kayla said about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's romance?
Whilst not explicitly relating her post to her ex's engagement on this occasion, the media personality - who dated Travis on-off for five years, until 2022 - has spoken out on his romantic developments in the past.
Addressing their relationship in public
During her recent appearance on the reality TV series Special Forces: The World's Toughest Test, Kayla brought up the athlete whilst chatting with surfer Alana Blanchard and Disney Channel alum Kyla Pratt.

"He’s dating Taylor Swift," she said of Travis before sadly admitting: "I just get a lot of s**t online because he’s dating such a mega superstar."
During a confessional with viewers, she also opened up on the impact that her ex's new personal endeavour has had upon her wellbeing.

"Going through a public breakup, just to be frank, it's been overwhelming," Kayla admitted, as per Cosmopolitan. "I've never experienced anything like it."
Press scrutiny
During an appearance on the same military-resilience series, special force interrogators asked Kayla about a newspaper headline that read, 'Travis Kelce’s ex Kayla Nicole asks trolls to ‘leave her alone’ as Taylor Swift releases new album'.

The article was published after she'd tweeted - days after Taylor released her The Tortured Poets Society album: "There’s just no way I can fully digest all these new albums. I’m still on Cowboy Carter."
The tabloid story also referenced Kayla's subsequent social media plea. "I’m unproblematic. Mind my business. Never respond to the constant vitriol," she'd said at the time.
"Solid as they come & don’t expect a pat on the back for it either. Just know everyone has a breaking point & would love for ‘yall’ (because you know exactly who you are) to leave me alone."

Asked about the article on the show, she responded: "Yeah, it's pretty constant. Exhausting. Constantly. It doesn't matter.
"I could post about the sky being blue, and people will have a response about an ex and their new situation."
Kayla went on to confess: "It's inadvertently affected me to the point where it makes me question, just like, my overall value as a person, as a partner. I think it's just the comparison and it's just like on loop.
"I think I'm still trying to figure out how to deal with that."
The reporter also addressed the 'hate' she is often subjected to by Swifties for simply being Travis' ex.
"I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and just, like, online chaos didn’t impact me, it does. Even to this day," she previously explained on the Unapologetically Angel podcast, as per PEOPLE.
"You can go to my most recent post and it will be people debating each other why I am worthless and I’ll never be a talented person."

Elsewhere, Kayla added: "There’s something about that level of fame that attracts crazy people, and it’s unfortunate because I’ve never done anything to warrant that kind of backlash."
Moving on
During the same podcast, she went on to confirm she holds no ill-will against Travis, claiming they boast an amicable relationship.
"He’s a great guy… It was a good time in my life," Kayla insisted.
"We’ve seen each other in public spaces… there’s just no room to communicate or acknowledge each other publicly without it being spun into something crazy. So we just keep it moving."
She seemingly has the same mindset when it comes to 35-year-old Taylor herself, claiming on Special Forces that she's a fan of her ex's new partner.
"I really like, like, her. I think she’s very talented," Kayla gushed.
