Julia Fox interrupting Marlon Wayans during an interview about their new film has left viewers divided.
Julia, the woman, the myth, the legend, has had some pretty strong views on men in the past after her controversial relationship with Kanye West.
Having come out as pansexual, explaining that she’ll never date men again, even going as far as to practice celibacy for two years, you know when the topic of men is brought up, she’s going to say her piece.
But it was when she began interrupting Marlon while she, him, and Tyriq Withers were promoting their Him movie, that things took a turn.

If you've yet to see the thriller, it centres around a young athlete (Tyriq) who descends into a world of horrors when he's invited to train with a legendary champion (Marlon) whose charisma slips, and his mask finally comes off.

For Julia, she plays Marlon’s on-screen wife, and she truly embodies the role of a woman who enjoys messing with people’s mind and body.
The greater premise of the film is much more than meets the eye, as it features themes of the exploitations in the sports world, how sports stars are held to a higher standard than others, and the pressures families have put on their children to become great in the field.

With it telling the tale of male athletes who are trying to become the G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Time), the topic of masculinity, violence and the message it’s trying to convey ultimately came up for the trio.
However, when Marlon began to explain what he thinks of as a ‘real’ man, Julia began to interrupt him, much to the chagrin of some viewers.

Marlon began by saying, ‘I think the youth needs to hear what real men are. I think there's a, you know, there's masculine men-”

“What are real men?” Julia then asked.
Marlon tried to reply: “Right? To me, a real man is a responsible man-”
Julia: “Because every time a man does some f***ing shit, they'll be like, that's not a 'real man', and it’s like, looks like a man to me!"
Marlon: “I think a real man is in touch with his feminine side.”

At the same time, Julia states: “Looks like a duck, and it walks like a duck, yeah.”
Marlon than attempts to clarify: “I think a real man is, you know, knows how to unstrap from his ego-”
To which Julia cuts off: “I don't know. I think the real man thing is just the thing like that people invented to like, excuse bad, behaviour. You know... All men are real men.”
In the end, Tyriq got in the last words, by clarifying for Marlon and for Julia: “I think being- to further add on what she's saying, I think there's this false narrative of what real men do, and I think it's tied into, you know, privilege and, uh, masculinity.”
He went on to say that it’s also an aspect that needs to be considered with filmmaking, telling the interviewer: “And I think, exploring that in films is important because, you know, we're raising these young boys to be men and we can go that extra step to educate, boys. And on that journey of how to, you know, tap into the femininity the vulnerability, that way we can protect women.”

Someone else said: “while she’s right- she could’ve let him talk G.”
However, there were those who were loving it.
Like this person, who wrote that Julia’s interruptions were ‘healing’.
Or this person who said she ‘never misses’ in her observations.
A user even suggested: “She needs to interrupt him more tbh.”
