Guys, it’s the end of an era - Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash are officially leaving Pickle Cottage after five years.
The couple, who moved into the Essex house in 2021, dropped the bombshell on Thursday (3 September) that they would be moving out ‘imminently’.
In a video posted to Instagram, Stacey explained: “The reason that we haven’t said anything up until this point is because anyone who’s ever moved before knows what it’s like; you don’t know if it's going to actually happen until it actually happens.”
The British reality TV stars described the move as a ‘massive decision’ as Pickle Cottage is a ‘really special place for them’ - they gave birth to their daughters there, and got married in the abode.

As for the reason behind the move, Stacey explained that for a while they have wanted to ‘rescue more animals and grow more vegetables’.
She said: “So we've always been thinking if there's ever a chance to move further out and get a bit more land, then we would consider it, and we saw somewhere, and I was like, 'Oh my god, we could have a massive vegetable patch, and we could offer our land to animals who need it' and stuff like that. And we could bring the horses back there, the ponies, and we went to see it..."
Joe chimed in with: "We fell in love. It wasn't an easy decision because, like we said, we're leaving behind somewhere we've built our lives together.
“But we've found somewhere where we can see our family growing and really flourishing. And this is the place I think it's going to be."
Meanwhile, sources told The Mirror that Stacey’s ‘rising bank balance’ is the reason the family are able to purchase a property that’s even bigger than their beloved, current home.
Many fans are just as attached to Pickle Cottage as the family are, as Stacey has extensively documented the renovation of the home and kept fans in the loop with all of her incredible Halloween and Christmas decorations.

The cottage, which is reportedly worth £1,300,000, is currently home to Stacey, Joe, and their three children, Rex, seven, Rose, four, and Belle, three, as well as Stacey's two sons, Leighton, 14, and Zachary, 18, from previous relationships.
The family’s two dogs, Peanut and Teddy, also live in the abode, as do their backyard ducks, chickens, and rescue ponies.
In the video, Stacey continued: “So, it's come to a point where it's actually time to say goodbye to Pickle Cottage, which feels so weird. And yeah, move everything across to our new chapter. You know, it's a project, it's a project!”
She hinted: “We're moving somewhere really, really different, and it does need a lot of love, and what I can say is I loved bringing Pickle Cottage back to life.

"I got so much joy from that, and everything I did there I loved, so I'm excited to do that all again somewhere else, but I will truly miss Pickle, and I will be forever grateful for everything we got from Pickle.”
The mother-of-five added: “We never in our lives growing up thought we would ever live in a house like Pickle Cottage.
“We feel so lucky to have had that chance and to be starting again and opening a new chapter somewhere else; we feel really lucky as well."
