For decades now, Hollywood co-stars have used flirty red-carpet appearances, handsy interviews and romance speculation as a way to sell their movies.
Recently, Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell (Anyone But You), Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson (The Naked Gun) and Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi (Wuthering Heights) were guilty of the same trend in a bid to entice fans to the cinema.
And bizarrely, it works. In fact, ticket sales don't usually start plateauing until one of their agents is forced to release a statement putting relationship rumours to bed, insisting they're 'just friends'.
This hasn't spotted fans wondering whether Office Romance co-leads Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein might have struck up something special, given the cosy catch-ups they've been having with the press this week.

Landing on Netflix earlier today (5 June), the rom-com centres on Jackie Cruz (J.Lo), the workaholic CEO of AirCruz, and company lawyer Daniel Blanchflower (Goldstein), who is hired to help the business tackle a major legal crisis.
It doesn't take long for the pair to realise there's something deeper behind their professional commitments, and... well, you know how these things go.
Promoting the cheesy hit ahead of its release, fans were quick to notice a palpable chemistry between the British actor and 'Jenny from the Block', who are both currently single.
Despite their hopes, however, the big-name duo were this week forced to grind dating rumours to a halt much earlier than expected during a joint appearance on the NBC morning show.

"There's never a time when I'm seen with somebody or working with somebody where they don't try to put me with the person," Lopez, 56, told host Savannah Guthrie.
Goldstein, 45, then went on to tease: "I think if you stand near her, that's what happens. That's why I've been standing so close this whole time."
The reporter hit back with the response we were all secretly thinking, however, telling the pair: "Okay, but I'll just say, because I'm me and you know me. That was not an answer."
Cutting in, Lopez - who divorced ex-husband Ben Affleck last year - insisted: "That was not an answer? It was an answer! Because all these people that they put me, I think I was with Kevin Costner this year. I was with … there was a lot of people. It happens all the time. Doesn't make it true."
Guthrie went on to clarify, 'Okay, so you're not dating in real life?', to which Lopez replied, 'Not dating', and Goldstein confirmed, 'Correct'.
