Jennifer Lopez called out a reporter after they asked her about her divorce from Ben Affleck.
The 56-year-old 'Papi' singer and the 53-year-old Oscar award-winning actor, known together as 'Bennifer', have had quite the tumultuous relationship history.
As we know, the pair first started dating in the noughties, and delighted fans when they announced their engagement, only to call it off in 2004 because of 'excessive media attention'.
Flash-forward 20 years, and it would have appeared as if they were meant to be, as they reconciled in 2021 before tying the knot in 2022.
But round two, much to the commiseration of fans, didn't last long, with J.Lo filing for divorce from Affleck in August last year, citing 'irreconcilable differences' as her reason for the split.
With all that said, though, it would seem like the former it-couple are still on good terms, with Lopez showering Affleck with praise during a recent interview (6 October) on the Today show.
Jennifer Lopez called out a reporter who asked about her divorce from Ben Affleck on Monday (6 October) (NBC) Discussing the Kiss of the Spider Woman - a new musical-thriller which sees Lopez as the star and Affleck as executive producer - interviewer Craig Melvin said: "In the middle of filming this elaborate, beautiful musical, your divorce was also finalised with Ben."
"There you go! Look at this guy!" Lopez interjected, prompting Melvin to explain why he had mentioned the Good Will Hunting star, adding: "But then I read that your ex is an executive producer on the film."
Lopez then laughed off the moment, before crediting her ex-husband for getting the movie made.
"If it wasn’t for Ben, the movie wouldn’t have gotten made," she said, matter-of-factly. "And I will always give him that credit."
Lopez praised her ex-husband who executively produced the new musical-thriller she stars in (NBC) Speaking on the divorce, she resolved: "And yeah, things happen, you have to keep going."
The interview commenced the same day Lopez and Affleck made a surprising red carpet appearance together at the Kiss of the Spider Woman premiere in New York City.
They seemed to be in good spirits as paparazzi photographed them speaking together.
The former couple even posed for pictures together and, at one point during the red carpet appearance, the Good Will Hunting star put his hand on her waist to help her walk the red carpet.
Affleck was full of praise at the premiere, describing Lopez as 'incredible', before similarly praising director Bill Condon for an 'amazing job' with the musical.
Introducing the film, the actor said: "My goal was to empower great artists and tell moving stories and great opportunities for these kinds of great stories to be told and to work with the best directors in the world and the best material. In this movie, we did all that and it’s an honour to be here.”
And the positive words didn't stop there, as before the screening, Affleck spoke with Extra, where he praised his ex's work ethic.
He told the publication: "She worked enormously hard. You get to see like all of her many gifts, she’s somebody that grew up watching, you know, classic musicals. She really does it all in this movie!"
