Just days before his shock divorce from Bunny Xo became public knowledge, Jelly Roll revealed he was in hospital with a sinus infection.
The American rapper and singer, 41, is currently on tour with Post Malone as a special guest for their co-headlining ‘Big Ass Stadium Tour Part 2’.
However, in a TikTok video posted on 11 June, he revealed that he was struggling with his health after battling a sinus infection.
The star explained to his followers: “So I went to the hospital last night in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was Novant Hospital.

“Shout out to that whole hospital, they literally got me on my feet for the show. I was puffy-faced, it was bad dude, the sinus infection.”
The rapper added that doctors gave him a ‘bunch of steroids,’ however, the health issue forced him to miss a part of a show for the first time since he joined Post Malone for the tour.
"It's the first night as long as I've been touring with Post that I didn't get to come out and sing 'Losers. I just barely got through my show,” he admitted.
Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, explained how Post Malone checked in on him after finding out that he wasn't feeling well.
In the video, he receives a huge bunch of flowers from the star, including a note that reads: “Get well soon MOFO, love ya.”
Jelly gushed: “I love you, Post. When I say every night that Post Malone is the nicest human in the world, y’all, I’m not making that up. He’s the most rockstar dude I’ve ever known, that’s the most normal dude in the world. Like, I love you, Posty.”
As mentioned, the health scare came just before Jelly’s divorce from his wife of almost 10 years, Bunnie Xo was revealed.
PEOPLE Magazine confirmed on Monday (15 July) that the rapper had filed for divorce from the internet star, whose actual moniker is Alisa Andrea DeFord, in Williamson County, Tennessee, on 18 May.
As per court documents accessed by The Sun, Jelly cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as his reason for the unexpected split, while pointing out that he and Bunnie have been ‘unable to live together successfully as husband and wife’.
Jelly outlined that their official separation date was 9 May, just over a week before he filed the papers.
The singer is asking the court to grant a Martial Dissolution Agreement that will create an ‘equitable division of the parties’ assets’.
Despite fans wanting answers, neither party has publicly spoken out about the breakup… yet.
