Fans have been heartbroken by the shock news that Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo have ended their marriage after 10 years - and now, the reason why has seemingly been revealed.
The American rapper and singer, 41, and the influencer and podcast host, 46, met in 2015 at a concert in Las Vegas, when he was opening for the Moonshine Bandits - a year later, they had tied the knot.
Despite temporarily separating in 2018 due to Jelly’s cheating scandal, the former couple had seemed happier than ever recently, even renewing their vows in 2023 and celebrating 10 years together in a loved-up Instagram post in January, so the news came as a shock to their followers when it broke on Monday (15 June).
It was confirmed by PEOPLE Magazine that Jelly, real name Jason Bradley DeFord, had filed for divorce on 18 May, in Williamson County, Tennessee.

And now, having accessed the divorce documents, The Sun has revealed the reason behind the surprising break-up.

The outlet reported that the rapper cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as his reason, adding that he and Bunnie, whose real name is Alisa Andrea DeFord, have been ‘unable to live together successfully as husband and wife’.
According to the papers, Jelly outlined that their separation date was 9 May, just over a week before he filed the divorce papers.
The singer is also asking the court to grant a Martial Dissolution Agreement that will create an ‘equitable division of the parties’ assets’ - they own both a Nashville mansion and a 500-acre farm.
The publication reports that Jelly is being represented by high-profile Nashville attorney Rose Palermo, who has worked on a number of celebrity divorces, including Billy Ray Cyrus’ split from Firerose.
While Jelly Roll is yet to speak out on the divorce publicly, Bunnie seemingly dropped some hints just before the filing.
Alongside a risqué lingerie photo on Instagram, the podcaster wrote: "She's getting her sparkle back.”
Just one hour later, she shared a screenshot of a text message which read: “Come here, let me show you what love feels like,” with J. Cole's song 'Power Trip' played over the photo.

Finally, she reposted a reel originally shared by Snoop Dogg, which read, “You're embarrassing, cut it out,” accompanied by her own text, “Me about to take it up a notch.”
Reacting to the surprising news of their split, fans wrote: “wait, they seemed so solid together,” and “This is so heartbreaking, wishing them both strength and peace.”
A third quipped: “I genuinely thought they were the exception to the Hollywood divorce rule.”
While a fourth agreed: “The couple that gave everyone hope is now giving everyone grief.”
