Hilary Swank surprised fans with the exciting news that she’s expecting her third child – and the little one could arrive sooner than you think.
The Yellowjackets actress, 52, revealed that her ‘newest project’ is her third baby with husband Philip Schneider. With the acclaimed drama series set to conclude with its fourth season, premiering on 20 November, Swank revealed that fans have been eager to know what she’ll be working on next. As it turns out, she has an exciting new arrival to prepare for.
In a clip shared to Instagram on Wednesday, which has been hailed as one of the most creative baby announcements, Swank’s three-year-old twins, Aya and Ohm, and her husband can be seen dancing in the dark with glow sticks attached to their body.
The Oscar-winning actress then arrives with a baby bump and her outfit includes a tiny glow-stick baby.

She hinted at the baby’s arrival date in the caption. “A lot of people have been asking what project I’m doing next, this one releases in December,” she teased.
“The cutest announcement video,” one fan shared.
“That’s soooooo cute and funny!” Another Instagram user shared.
The Boys Don’t Cry actress previously reflected on having children later in life, saying that she can give her children attention in a way that she may not have been able to if she became a mum in her 20s or 30s.
“I knew I wanted kids someday, but I wasn’t planning what that would look like,” she told PEOPLE in May. “I know it’s so different for everyone, but for me, if I had had a kid in my 20s or my 30s, I think I’d be a much different parent than I am now.”
“I feel like I have that more kind of ability to really give them my attention in a way that I wouldn’t have as much at that point because it would’ve been pulled between the two in a very distinct way,” continued Swank. “In my career being so established, I have the ability to kind of step in and step out when I choose, and that is just such a blessing.”
She added: “It just worked out that I had babies this much later in life," she says. "It wasn't that I didn't want them earlier. There were a lot of things that kept that from happening, and so I can really take time to be with them."
Swank announced her first pregnancy during an appearance on Good Morning America in October 2022.

“This is something that I’ve been wanting for a long time and my next thing is I’m gonna be a mum,’ she shared.
“And not just of one but of two. It’s such a blessing. It’s a total miracle. It’s unbelievable.”
She opened up about becoming a mum aged 48, revealing she froze her eggs aged 37.
While speaking about becoming a mum in her 40s, she told Women’s Health: “I would have had kids earlier. I’m not saying I actively waited until 47. But that was a magical time in my life, when it all culminated,” she said.
“It was the right time for myriad reasons."
She also shared: “I’m really interested in their brains. I am fascinated about what makes them tick.
“And I have my career that’s already established, so I’m not divided. I’m able to really sink in and be present with them and be a hands-on parent.”
