Hilary Swank, 52, shows baby bump in video with husband and twins

Actress Hilary Swank has appeares to have announced she is expecting baby number three in December at the age of 52.

Swank showed her baby bump including a glow stick baby on her Instagram account with a video of herself and husband Philip Schneider alongside Aya and Ohm, their three-year-old twins.

She included the caption: “A lot of people have been asking what project I’m doing next, this one releases in December. 😉👼🏼🫶🏼,”

Fans were, on the whole, delighted and surprised by the announcement, with one Instagram user saying, “Whatsssss ? Wait, am I crazy, or are you pregnant again?”

Another said, “Ahhh congratulations!!! How beautiful! What a fun announcement 😍❤️” while a third chimed in, “Best news of the day, week, month and year!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!”

Someone else said, “As a 44 year old mom of twin 7-year-olds, I’m so excited and impressed!! I would love to have another baby if only I had the stamina!!!! Enjoy your new hormones 😊”

When the Million Dollar Baby actress and Schneider welcomed the twins into the world in April 2023, Swank was 48 and considered by some critics to be on the older side for a new mother, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Addressing the criticism, she said in May during an interview with PEOPLE: "It just worked out that I had babies this much later in life.

"It wasn't that I didn't want them earlier. There were a lot of things that kept that from happening, and so I can really take time to be with them."

She continued: "I feel like I get a lot of Mother's Days other than actual Mother's Day because of being able to be so present with them."

Swank acknowledged having twins is hard work for anyone.

“It wasn’t easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it. 👼🏼🤍👼🏼 Happy Easter!” she wrote a caption of a picture of herself cradling her babies while looking at a sunset.

The Beverly Hills 90210 actress added, “🐣🐣 Posting from pure Heaven. 🙌🏽.”

Swank first told the world about becoming a mother in 2022 in an interview with Good Morning America.

She said having babies was something she had ‘been wanting for a long time’ and was ‘so happy’ to share the news – and ‘And not just of one, but of two’.

Swank married Schneider in 2018 after a previous marriage to actor Chad Lowe.
