Hailey Bieber’s scathing remark to a critic who claimed there could be ‘trouble in paradise’ where her marriage to Justin Bieber was concerned is a reminder that social media is not real.
Hailey, 28, and Justin, 31, tied the knot in September 2018, welcomed their first child, Jack Blues, last summer, and are often publicly championing each other’s individual achievements.
Most recently, the Rhode Beauty founder shared her support for her husband’s seventh studio album, Swag. Meanwhile, the ‘Baby’ hitmaker celebrated the mother-of-one making the front cover of Vogue magazine for the first time.
Despite the pair often starring in snaps together and sharing details of their lives with fans, social media users began speculating over the status of their marriage.

This was initially caused by Justin unfollowing Hailey on Instagram – an act the Canadian singer claimed was due to his account being ‘hacked’.

"Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife. S**t is getting suss out here,” he said at the time.
Months later, eagle-eyed critics noticed that Justin seemingly no longer appeared in Hailey’s ‘following list, prompting further speculation that the couple’s relationship was over.

One TikToker pulled the pop culture moment apart, explaining to viewers that the ‘unfollowing’ could have just been a glitch after the ‘YUKON’ favourite deactivated and reinstated his account.
"You guys are saying that Hailey Bieber unfollowed Justin,” they said.
“I went to her page to check and yes, it does say that she isn't following him right now on her Instagram, but I think that this could just be a delay, because he did deactivate from his 17-minute deactivation on Instagram.”

"I think that it could just be a lag on his followers. But I will keep you guys updated."
The TikToker added that if Hailey wasn’t re-following Justin in 24-48 hours, then ‘there may be some trouble in paradise.’
“But until then, I don't really think that this is that serious, because I think it just could be a delay, a lag in the Instagram coming back,” they added.
Not wanting fans to speculate further on her and Justin’s relationship, Hailey slid into the video’s comments section with a brutal, nine-word response.

"It’s a glitch. Didn’t unfollow him. Hope this helps!”

The clip creator had a savage response themselves, typing: “That’s what I said in the video goofy.”
Since the January ‘hack’ and the April glitch, it appears that neither Hailey nor her spouse has taken any further measures to unfollow each other on Instagram.

Interestingly, some fans believe Justin referenced his true feelings about his relationship with the model on his new album.
Track ‘Walking Away’ features lyrics which include ‘taking a break’ and ‘testing our patience’, which the New York Post reported could be related to the famous pair’s marriage.
However, the father-of-one also uses the track to say: “Gave you a ring /I made you a promise / I told you, ‘I’d change’ / It’s just human nature / These growing pains / And baby, I ain’t walking away.”
Tyla previously contacted representatives of Justin Bieber for further comment.
