Fans of Hailey Bieber have rushed to her defence this week, after she fired a brutal dig in the direction of her husband Justin.
Taking to Instagram earlier this week, the beauty boss issued a rather odd tribute to the Canadian musician, marking his first Father's Day as dad to their 10-month-old son Jack Blues.
The couple's followers were somewhat blindsided when, in the comments to an image the 'Baby' singer posted to commemorate the big day, Hailey wrote: "Father's Day sucks a**."

A number of fans were left horrified by the model's mean-spirited statement, seemingly unaware that it came in response to a similar sentiment that Bieber aimed at her earlier this year.
Back in March, when 28-year-old Hailey's first Mother's Day as a mum rolled around, the singer baffled fans by writing on Instagram: "Love u moms but mothers day sucks a**."
Following shocked reactions from a number of social media users out of the loop with the couple's joke spat, many fans have since defended Hailey's savage quip.

Taking to Reddit, several said that Bieber should have seen it coming, and explained Hailey's comment as a mother getting her own back on her hubby.
"I was going to ask if it's fake? Because I don't see her doing that, but good for her if she actually did," one wrote online.
Another went on: "Savage af. I hope the best for their situation but that's funny ngl."
"This is so funny but also so f**ked up," laughed a third.

"So messy but I cannot deny I got a soft spot for this lil lady," another gushed, while a fourth admitted: "Can't say I blame her at all."
Another fan, however, made the vital point that the pair appear to enjoy lighthearted exchanges online, adding: "They have a lot of banter in their relationship that gets misinterpreted as real anger ngl. Some of it probably is legit passive aggressive tho."
A sixth agreed: "Even though she’s probably kidding,… I love this for her."

"Being the cool gf/wife all the time must be exhausting lol," added another.
Perhaps Hailey's remark was taken to be so controversial due to its timing, being that she'd written online around the same time 31-year-old Bieber shared a series of savage private text messages online, both concerning and confusing fans.
The first screenshot he shared kicked off with the musician voicing his frustration to an unknown recipient.
"I will never suppress my emotions for someone," Bieber had written. "Conflict is a part of relationship. If you don't like my anger you don't like me. My anger is a response. To pain I have been thru.

"Asking a traumatized person not to be traumatized is simply mean."
The mystery mate then wrote back: "I'm not used to someone lashing out at me. It's not that I don't see and feel your anger."
"Ouch," Bieber replied. "This friendship is officially over. I will never accept a man calling my anger lashing out.
"I enjoyed our short lived relationship. I wasn't kidding when I told u I didn't need u as a friend.
"I have good friends. Who will respect these boundaries."
Another set of messages saw Bieber telling the recipient: "I thought u were a p*ssy. Which is why I always kept my distance but I was willing to give you the benifit [sic] of the doubt.
"This confirms u were the p*ssy I always thought u were."
After sending the 'middle finger' emoji, the father-of-one then told his ex-pal: "Blocking u now."
