For many of us, Harry Potter (both the books and the film franchise) was a core part of our childhoods and adolescence.

The likes of Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson - who played Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger respectively - practically lived on our screens for a joyous decade with many Potterheads across the globe still doing movie marathons of all eight films whenever they're in need of some comfort viewing material.

However, it would appear as if filming on set wasn't always as enjoyable for the key cast as it was fans at home as 35-year-old Watson once revealed that she 'couldn’t keep going' when filming an 'incest' scene in one particular Harry Potter flick.

Watson, who recently made headlines after being banned from driving following a speeding incident which took place last summer, previously opened up about the scene in question which she had to endure while shooting Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

Dubbing it 'the most horrible thing [she has] ever had to do', it's clear she hasn't looked back on the ordeal all that fondly.

And the 'incest' scene in question? When she has to kiss Ron, of course.

In the scene, Hermione and Ron finally admit their feelings for each other after what felt like an eternity.

The revelation leads the young lovers to relieve a tension that had been bubbling away for years with a long, passionate smooch.

Speaking at the Return To Hogwarts special in 2022, Watson detailed exactly what it was like locking lips with Grint.

"Obviously us kissing was the most horrifying thing either of us have ever had to go through," she said, adding that it 'felt wrong on every level', and that they just 'kept laughing'.

Radcliffe then added: "I did not make this better, because I’ve been told significantly that I was just being an absolute d*ck about this and was like, 'I’m gonna come on set and watch you guys kiss'.

"I’m sorry about that, guys."

Watson later echoed such statement during a segment on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, where she recalled: "It was the most horrible thing I’ve ever had to do.

"Not because Rupert isn’t lovely - and there are millions of girls out there who would probably chop their left arm off to kiss him - but it just felt like incest. That’s the only way I can describe it."

Watson continued: "The great thing about kissing is that you close your eyes, so it was fine when I was actually kissing him because I had my eyes closed. So I could not think about the fact that it was him.

"The worst bit is when we had to open our eyes and look at each other because then it was just like, and then we couldn’t keep going."
