Drake has finally opened up about the truth behind his six-pack selfie that went viral on social media back in June.
For those somehow not in the know, the 38-year-old 'Headlines' rapper took to Instagram to share with his 142 million followers a sweaty snap showing off his upper body and what some critics were convinced were 'fake abs'.
He captioned the mirror pic: "I'm wide awake for the nights that separate the type who get to it til they get it right from the type who just… type."
It didn't take long for comments speculating on Photoshop usage and plastic surgery to dominate the comments section, with one Instagram user declaring: "Drake 100% the type of guy to buy abs."

"Ordered abs from Temu and forgot to add shoulders," quipped a second.
"What's killing me about this photo is that his pecs are so flat that they look like he has post-op top surgery scars when I take my glasses off lmao," joked a third, while a fourth hit out: "I don't know why people do this. Those fake abs never look good on anyone."
And a final Instagram user echoed: "Truly. Like, this guy could hire a personal chef, a world-class trainer, and an accountability/gym buddy and see REAL muscle progress in the time it takes to recover from these surgeries. I really don't understand why ppl with his resources think recovering from surgery is more desirable than just putting in the work."

Now, all these speculations were simply that - speculative.

But Drake has now come forward to at last address the rumour mill on Bobbi Althoff’s Not This Again podcast on Tuesday (2 September).
Bobbie asked the Grammy award-winner if he had abdominal etching - a cosmetic procedure type of liposuction 'that targets the ab area to make it look more defined', per Healthline.

"People think you got a procedure done," she said, prompting Drizzy to hit back: "People also say that I got a BBL [Brazilian Butt Lift]. They call me 'BBL Drizzy.'"
"I don't know if my wagon looked crazy when I walked in here," he jokingly continued.
Drake eventually admitted to editing the photo, but the confession was miles off from what critics thought went down.
"I came from the gym, I was sweaty in that pic," he explained. "Maybe I heightened the saturation or something on it."

"I think I hit it too hard," Drake admitted. "They don't look like that."
Well, there you have it!
