Millie Bobby Brown has made a heartbreaking admission after speaking out about the plastic surgery rumours she was subjected to earlier this year.
In March, Millie, 21, took to her social media where she shared her experience, calling out journalists over cruel articles written about her appearance.
"I started in this industry when I was 10 years old. I grew up in front of the world, and for some reason, people can’t seem to grow with me," the Stranger Things star said.
"... The fact that some of these articles are written by women? Even worse.

"We always talk about supporting and uplifting young women, but when the time comes, it seems easier to tear them down for clicks.
"Let’s do better. Not just for me, but for every young girl who deserves to grow up without fear of being torn apart for simply existing. Thank you."

The comments began circulating after Millie appeared at the premiere for The Electric State.
Speaking to British Vogue last month, the actress explained that the constant noise about her appearance during this time was making her 'cry every day'.
She also added that while getting ready to present at the Brit Awards in London with Sabrina Carpenter, she became visibly emotional.
“I was crying while I was getting my hair and make-up done. I was even welling up when I saw her backstage," she said.

Millie also explained some of the comments she'd seen online, adding: "‘Oh my God, what has she done with her face? Why has she gone blonde? She looks 60 years old!’
“I was depressed for three, four days. I was crying every day.
"... I respect journalism. I love reading articles on my favorite people and hearing what they’re up to. I understand that there’s paparazzi, even though it’s invasive, even though it feels like s**t to me – I know that’s your job… But don’t, in your headline, slam me at the get-go."

She continued: "It is so wrong and it is bullying, especially to young girls who are new to this industry and are already questioning everything about it. For some reason people can’t seem to grow up with me. Instead, they act like I’m supposed to stay frozen in time... And because I don’t, I’m now a target."
